WP_20190605_12_41_53_Rich.jpg just checked my bag, flight is already delayed half an hour, so we got about an hour and a half before boarding. I found one of these to share. Confirm, unable to reach inside...d'oh!

Looks like 28 days. But I got hit HARD with the gambling this time, and I'm not as rich as this report might make it seem, just saved up to have an ultimate trip, so coming again so soon will put somewhat if a damper on the craziness. Next time there probably won't be any Lamborghinis or $3000 show tickets lol. But I will be there for 4th of July!

Unfortunately, I'm on a plane now and did not get any large ones. Will seek revenge in July. I did get several small jackpots and some relatively good hits, but was horrible at quitting machines when I should have because I was just having too much fun.

That said, there are some moral victories, one of which being myself and my companion both came out winners against Game of Thrones slots, which is one of the tightest ones ever. I left it + $300 or more, and she played a little less than me but left it with about 4x her cash in. I just didn't practice good bankroll management this time overall. Most of my damage was self inflicted and I'll do better next time.

Side note, saw a lady getting a $2,000 payout at the airport!

I'm still not home yet. I'm not even in Florida yet. I'm not even on the WAY to Florida yet. We just legit had to walk across a tarmac to an auxiliary parking lot and get on a plane using the stairs because ours was broke and they just finally decided to swap us to one of the parked planes.

Had horrible service on the first flight, was told we were going to miss connector and they tried several times to get us to commit voluntarily to booking charlotte to Florida leg tomorrow morning with no offers for hotel, food, etc, zilch.

Flight attendant in first class was borderline bitch, definitely had a bad attitude. I got the charcuterie board again, as did the two people across the aisle. I didn't get my pita chips and they all did, so I asked if she had any pita chips for me, I got a cold eye roll and a bitterly sarcastic. "No I don't." No apology that part of my dinner wasnt there, no offer to bring me something else, no smile, no service. First class never saw the snack basket though we did get I guess one more round of drink service than main cabin. She was rude to several people, and we overheard her talking shit about passengers to another FA several times when they should have been serving.

Anyway, we were supposed to land in Tallahassee 30 minutes ago, but I just got on a plane in North Carolina, still an hour and a half flight give or take, once we finally get moving.

We got lucky and got a local flight crew, as in, they all live in my area and wanted to get the heck home too. I overheard the pilot request an get granted expedited taxi, climb out, and direct navigation, so we got here in about an hour on a 94 minute scheduled flight. Sweet. Waiting for bags. Pushing 2AM here and I still got a 20 minute drive home once my bag finally comes up.

    *cough* *cough* I don't feel so well....tomorrow.

Finally home! Holy wow, we left Caesar's Palace at noon local time June 5, and I just got home at 02:30 local time June 6th. As if the time zone change itself wasnt bad enough, I got home on a different day after not quite 12 hours between places. I got one happy pit bull though!

I haven't even looked at all the pictures I took yet and it will take days for me to put this all together and try and share some stories and things that got lost in the mix an excitement at the time.

I did look through several of my pictures on my 12 hour trip home, and found this one I really cherish but forgot to share at the time because I was on my way out when I got the picture, and I forgot I even had it with everything going on at the time.

So growing up, you always see that scene in the movies where the suave leading man (or the villain) rolls up to Caesar's (or some place else of similar character) in an exotic car, someone greets him by name, and they park the car right in the center of everything, I've seen the scene so many times. I always wanted to just be that guy once. Well Monday, I was that guy!!! Entire valet staff remembered me because a) I was in the convertible Lamborghini an b) I gave anyone and everyone who provided any sort of service $5 tips. So I rolled in to change for dinner and Rio, and the whole thing played out just like the movies.

When I came back out all suited up in the buttonless Armani to drive down the road to Rio, I found the car parked right up front at the main entrance and people lining up to take pictures. I had to stop and just thoroughly enjoy that moment, and I just stood back by the cab line watching a few people get selfies and stuff with the car.

When I finally walked up to the car, I said I NEED a picture of this! I have the best parking spot at Caesar's Palace! So I got this picture, right after the head valet walked over and greeted me by name and handed me the keys. That whole scene was just something I dreamed about since I was a young'n, and as many incredible and overwhelming experiences as I squeezed in to 4 days, this picture just really makes me happy. I felt like such a rock star that 5 minutes, and had strangers photographing it and everything!

Sorry about the nightmare flights. I sure hope you will be writing the airline about the surly service.

What a great valet story!! I’m very happy you were able to capture it. The evening lighting is nice too. I suggest you find someone good with photoshop to nicely crop out the two people near you and erase the others. That would be easy. Then you really have a great photo.

That is why I call Vegas Fantasy camp. Growing up (decades older than you) in an era of lifestyles of the rich and famous, Bond movies and Dynasty, I always dreamed about living in luxury. Not because of what other people think, just how it made me feel. I don’t have money or designer clothes but I sure do live large in Vegas. It is the only place I can afford to do so. A few days like that twice a year is perfect. I don’t need any more.

And I think most women agree with ZZTop “every girl crazy ‘bout a sharp dressed man.”

Wow, sorry about that airline story. I would definitely write someone. And that FA, what a witch! I get that she is delayed too, and may be having a bad day. But she chose to be in the service industry, and you were being polite and just asking for what you should have gotten. So she either needs to NOT be in the service industry, or suck it up buttercup and be nice to the customers.

But LOVED the valet story! What a dream! I just love all the people in the background looking, LOL
Fine car, fine man, fine suit!

Love your report. Great photo of you. Yes, a good suggestion from Ezzy. Have a pro crop out extra folks & you'll have a truly fine photo. Definitely report the FA. I had a similar experience a few years ago---1st class Delta, Atlanta to LV. To this day I regret not reporting the b***h! Thanks for sharing.

You were on delta, right? I always love their first class (when we occasionally pay or get upgraded) and overall customer experience. What a disappointment to pay that money and have a rude experience home!

Great trip report! Loved the suits and the overall comp yo self. Sounds like Park and Recreation’s “Treat yo self” day. And isn’t that what we should all do in Vegas?

I'll be on that flight for my next Vegas trip in 26 or 27 days, whatever it is. I'm like a walking Murphy's Law when it comes to certain things, and air travel is one of those things.

American this time. Delta is usually way better from here in my experience. I vowed to never fly American again after such poor service on a January Vegas trip, but for these dates, Delta pieces were sky high, and American first class was only slightly more than Delta's Main Cabin fare, so we gave it a shot.

And yes! My post title was exactly a play on that!

Why is this reminding me of the movie "Rainman"? And it's at Caesars Palace, just like in the movie.
