Solo Scotsman in Vegas. 6/5-6/12 - Live...ish

Currently sitting in Edinburgh airport on a cold and rainy scottish morning, around 1 and a half ciders deep.



Journey stated with a 6.52am train from Glasgow. Flight is 10.45am connecting through Philidelphia, ariving in Vegas around 6.30pm local time.



This is my 7th trip since 2013 and first trip since Februrary last year.


Staying 4 days at Excalibur and 3 at Planet Hollywood. First time staying at both.


No real plans except from the meet at Bird Bar on sunday. If previous trips are anything to go by expect slot losses, crap craps and busted blackjack. With copious amounts of Alcohol in between.


I am sure this TR will pale to the TR hall of famer @Not at the table Carlos but i will give it my best shot and who know maybe there will be some TR cross over.


I will leave it there for now as my breakfast has arrived and i am going to make the most of having real Sausages while i can.

 

At the gate now. I am usually always one of the last ones to board. Never seen the sense of waiting in a line when everyone aleeady has a seat assigned.

Its a "cider" apparently. Tastes better than it looks.

Got my bag searched at customs. First time it has ever happened. Never felt guilter in my life, for no reason.

Flight to vegas in about an hour. Only 6 more hours and i am there!!!

 

Sometimes its just cold!

Finally arrived!!!

5 and half hour flight seemed longer than the 7 hour 1st flight.

Checked in to Excalibur, king room in the royal tower. Nice enough.

Showered 20 hours of travelling off and about to head down to the Casino!

Let the gambling begin!

 

First 30 mins on slots a total bust. Lost $80 with no bonuses or hits over $20.

Need some food and low rolling, so....


Won $15 on VP, waiting for my food so its technically free.

 

Off and running! Impressive with all that travel!

Todays leason: Follow your gut instint. In Vegas it is usually right!

 

Yeah, methinks not. Fortunately, you don't have to worry about what's right.

 

If you prepare for the worst, you are more likely to be pleasantly surprised.
If you have bankroll discipline and bet accordingly, you are more likely to ride out the variance on the low HA games.
