Caesar's Palace "Comp Yo Self, Fool!" Jun 1-5

OMG I am sooooo exhausted, and the trip grand finale is coming up in a few hours (well unless anything crazy happens by noon tomorrow). Drive out to the seven magic mountains this morning and was disappointed to find it under maintenance, barricaded off and almost entirely white. They are repainting.



So to get out of the heat, we went up Mt Charleston after that, got to drop the top and it was 72 degrees up there and nice. Stupidly drove all the way back to the strip with the top down. Got readings all the way up to > 112F on the strip. Too much sun. We're both from Florida though, so we'll manage.







Drove up and down the strip for about an hour and returned the car early. Just got back to Caesar's from all that, which started before 9AM and I need a 9 hour nap, but no time for that, and like I always say, you can sleep when you get back to work!

 

Looks like such a great trip! Love your sense of humor! Get some final wins in!

Cool stuff at Penn and Teller! And magic mountains being worked on is a bummer, but the pic of them being mostly uncolored in cool too. And they said they were keeping them there? Initially they said they only planned for them to be there 2 years. It's about 3 years now.

 

Now that, I'm not sure. There was just a small sign up by parking that said they were barricaded for maintenance and access was restricted. Then some incomplete sentence about a repaint in progress.

 

Quick update before show. Fashion porn since it seems like a couple of you were in to that: Tonight's ensemble is from Dolce & Gabbana (and yes I had to look at the tag to see how to spell that!) dark navy pinstripe suit, and a rare appearance of me in a pink dress shirt, in which I would not be caught dead unless I'm wearing dark navy, but I think it goes nice with this suit lol. Still a man though; I swear!


Our seats are so close we can hear the string players softly tuning and warming up on the other side of the curtain. We are less than 20 feet from dead front & center. Awesome!


Well dang, everyone and their respective mother is on the internet here, show starts any minute now. I'm going dark to save battery for pictures and more pictures of the show, which I will share later! TTFN!

Sorry for language, I've been drinking. Heavily. Holy shit on a stick! This is how close I was! I was expecting that to be incredible but it exceeded my expectations! I'll fill in details later but we just walked out about 12 minutes ago and I'm still in awe (and drinking) lol

 

$20 in, $211.50 out. Won progressive jackpot which I've never even seen happen, then 2 spins later, won the same jackpot again. Take THAT ya money-grubbin, dragon-titty bitch!

 

All packed and almost ready to go, but don't check out until noon. We tried to have Bacchanal for dinner before Celine last night, but it was very crowded, and oddly, they have a platinum express line to PAY for your dinner, but not to get seating like diamond and 7 star. We only had about an hour before we needed to change, and they couldn't promise we would be seated within 20 minutes, so we had to walk and ate at Gordon Ramsey again.

So, this morning, even though neither of us was super hungry, we needed to hit Bacchanal just because. First time I've gotten the made to order crepe, raspberry filled, mixed berry topping. OMG that was good, but so sweet and rich, I'm about to fall in a food coma for a bit before we leave.

I knew that name rang a bell, but I couldn't place it. Had to Google that one. Thanks, I think!

And to be sure, there are zero dead hookers affiliated with my trip! But I think I was propositioned more this trip than I ever have been. I had to kinda yell at one and tried to get security after a second run-in but couldn't find any an she was gone by the next time I went to the room. I'll have to do a hooker report in some wrap ups and details once I've gotten home and slept for a day or two.

 

You know, the funny thing is, I know Caesar's Palace so well, I was able to just answer everyone asking for directions. No worries. I even corrected two different slot hosts giving wrong information lol
