My local casino gives out tickets after you win a hand pay (its Canada, so a hand pay is not very large..but at least there is no tax!..lol). You can place your tickets in a drum and one ticket is drawn every Sunday to match the amount of your handpay up to $500. You do not have to put it in the drum the same week you win (you must be there at the drawing to actually win) so you can choose when the tickets go in....if you have 2 tickets, are the odds better to place them in for one draw, or to split them up between two draws.....ie 1 ticket this sunday, one ticket next sunday? or does it make any difference at all?

A second ticket essentially cuts your odds in half. 100 tickets and one of them is yours, 99 to 1. Add another of your ticket, 99 to 2, essentially 49.5 to 1. Can you save enough tickets to sway the odds? Buying two lottery tickets can change your odds from 300 million to 1 and make them 150 million to one, not really an improvement.
