Here is a view from our Jubilee Tower room, it was a lower floor and we didn’t hear any noise from Drai’s or street noise. We liked the pool, and there were plenty of loungers, but getting one with a little shade and in a quiet area was a challenge. The music was a little loud for me.

Besides going to the buffet at Paris and Mon Ami Gabi, my only other tip would be to visit the Stage Door across the street for some dive bar fun and cheap beer. They also sell package goods, which is a polite way of saying bottles of booze to go. There is an Enterprise location across the street at the Westin if you want a car for a couple days and don’t want to rent one at the airport. Plus, I was able to park it overnight with the other rentals. Not as if they are going to tow their own car, right?

    That’s rich.....what are you, a Philadelphia Lawyer? Or a Teacher’s Pet?

    I agree.
And it also needs reservation, well in advance, way way in advance.
You can't walk in, which is against the very principle of buffet: food is ready when you want to eat and just walk in.

New lobby bar is real nice but the whole casino is a bit dated but still ok.

I just booked another stay at Bally’s in October. Attached are some pictures of our Jubliee Tower room with View.
Like stated before, location is almost impossible to beat.

I stay at Bally"s every trip. Rooms are nice and casino isn't glitzy but adequate for gaming purposes. Sully's bar near the lobby is good for people watching and the connection to Paris is nice too. Good IPA on tap at Sully's.

I wish they had a real coffee shop though. Nosh is OK for a bagel but it seems like an afterthought. I found out the upper floors in the resort tower are supposed to be haunted by the ghosts of the 1980 MGM fire so I'm always on the lookout. Ask for a lower floor if that sort of thing creeps you out.

When I started going to Vegas 10ish years ago, Ballys was our hotel of choice.
Location is great, huge rooms, connected to Paris and I happen to like the VP bars/bartenders (bad paytables but I've always had fun at them).

We've since changed and started staying at other places but I always go back, even if just for a little gambling.

BLT is great (currently a groupon and might be a Tix4Tonight)
Evening Call makes delicious frozen drinks
The Paris crepe place is a delicious "cheap" option for breakfast or a snack

The new VP bar looks nice, cant wait to check it out when I'm there!

Yes, you will want this if you want quiet. A "pool view" is your best bet. We stayed in room 1442 in September, which is a distant pool view. You have a view of the casino area roof before you can even see the pool. We didn't hear a damn thing all week, which was exactly what we wanted.

Overall love the hotel, good location, but I hate the casino. I haven't seen the new lobby bar yet though. I knew I forgot to do something in April. Shit! But not playing there is ok by me, I just gamble elsewhere. CET play connects between casinos anyway.

The best thing about Ballys is the location and the relatively large/renovated guest rooms...Note: the standard rooms do not have coffee makers...I believe the week day "buffet" is limited to breakfast at Buca's (it's overpriced)...Nosh deli, near the Jubilee tower has reasonably priced sandwiches/ soup, but they close early (8pm?)...but there's a wide selection of dining options next door at Paris or out in front of Ballys at the Bazaar Shops...

I stayed in a Jubilee tower room. The room was nice but a long walk from anything. I thought the casino was too quiet and ended up at PH and Cosmo for gambling. Maybe it's just me but Bally's reminds me of my grandparents house.

We stayed there trip before last. Just bein' honest...if the room were not comped, I'd be pretty disappointed. We do like the pool, however. But like all Vegasian pools, gotta get there early. We play more in Bally's than we do in Paris, but it's nice to be joined at the hip to Paris as we dine and drink more in Paris than Bally's. The location is nice, as is anything center strip. Not sayin' there's anything necessarily bad about Bally's, but Pairs is our resort of choice.

You cannot beat Bally's for the location on the Strip. The rooms have been remodeled with the North (Indigo) tower rooms being most recently remodeled. I like staying in the Indigo tower with a room facing away from Flamingo Rd to avoid traffic noise and noise from Drai's nightclub if staying on a weekend. I've been to Vegas over 60 times so a Strip view is not that important to me; so I choose an east facing (pool view) room for peace and quiet. When I rent a car I always park in the Cromwell parking ramp. The ramp is never full and it's a lot easier getting into and out of the Bally's/Paris parking ramp. I've dined several times at BLT steak and the food and service has always been great. I usually grab an orange juice and an egg/bacon croissant at Nosh in the morning. You have to take the escalator down to the lower level in order to get to the sports book and spa/pool area in the back of the property. The pool is one of the few pools in Vegas that actually has a deep end. The casino has all the gambling options that CET casinos offer...6/5 blackjack and poor VP paytables. I have found the bartenders to be friendly; especially at the new lobby bar... a nice place to chill with a cocktail. The bartenders Po and Fang are in my top five Vegas bartenders. If you are a diamond card holder, the Paris diamond lounge is pretty nice. In summary, Bally's may lack the glitz and glamour of other Strip hotels, but it has all the amenities that this old boy requires. I leave for Vegas tomorrow morning for a 5 day/4 night stay at...you guessed it...Bally's....see you there....I'll be sitting at the lobby bar late evenings having a glass of Craggy Range sauvignon blanc wearing a gray fedora and chatting with the bartenders.

Agree with this. I stayed there once, room I was in just seemed really outdated and needed attention (broken outlet cover for example)-this was maybe 3 years ago, so maybe things have gotten better-you can't beat the location, which is what I go for anyway-I would pick the Flamingo over Bally's for sure.

I thought of some other things!

Really good, cheap hot dogs at Stage Door
Cromwell side is easy to get to by going exiting a side door (by the shop where the busses pick up) and walking across the street instead of going on the escalators

Keno games are fun. Play $20 and check #s later. Sometimes you'll have a nice surprise later. Rooms huge. Stayed there maybe 12 years ago? Can't remember the years of my Vegas trips anymore. We had 4 sinks in our room, so that was awesome for keeping the booze nice and cold. Since they added the shops though, it can be a hassle to get to the strip. Good gaming options. Eh pool (compared to other resorts). Recommend going through the shops between Ballys and Paris to get on the strip from Paris. Have fun!

The room elevators from Indigo tower go all the way to lower level if you want to access pool, sports bar, etc. You do not need to take the escalators if coming from your room.

We love staying in a Bally’s jubilee room.

The food at Nosh is quick and surprisingly good. I usually grab an iced tea on my way out the door.

Two guests per day have spa access so we hit the spa every couple of days.

Location is great. I don’t really care for the casino though.

I requested a south facing room, Jubilee Tower, highest floor possible when I made our reservation.

Hope this room type is somewhat quiet. LOL We will be there Sun.-Thurs. in Sept.

I just got back from Bally's today and I noticed a few annoying things. They don't give you a pen and pad of paper in the room anymore. Some bean counter somewhere must have decided that a 30 cent pen was bankrupting the property. It now takes 20 minutes in line to get coffee at the stand in the lobby at 6 AM ! They're working on the place and it's messed up. I never had to wait before at that time of the morning. At $5.14 for the smallest cup of coffee you'd think they'd get it together. I may switch back to Harrahs.
