I post this method every year as a quick and easy way to cook corn on the cob in the microwave, in the husk. Cook time varies by microwave, we only do 3 mins per ear. We've been doing it this way for quite a few years.

This is GREAT...we'll try! I always see the fresh corn and think, "ahhhh, I don't wanna soak and peel 'em, I'll just buy the frozen ears." We'll check it out this weekend!

No soaking. Just right in the husk.

I used to do corn that way. Easy, no mess.

We don't eat nearly as much of it as we used to. But, when we do, I buy a package that's already cut up and ready to go.

If not grilling the cobs, that's how i do it.
Watching the video took me back to high school shop class safety films.

Oh man, read too late. Just bought some fresh ears today but took the husks off in the store. They leave a big garbage can there for that purpose. Maybe next week.

I've done microwave, but didn't know about the removal process. Totally trying this next time. Wegman's has some really great corn this season so will definitely be buying more.

And I thought I was a "somewhat" a part time Country Boy ?
    I learned 2 years ago
Only one Ear of Corn per stalk -- ?
I always thought there were several per stalk
Just one ?.........somebody needs to genetically change that for higher crop yield.

First time I saw this on the Internet the poster neglected to mention the microwave part. So I tried it tonight with a huge degree of skepticism, but it works as advertised.

I want to try this method, but my way works pretty great too. :)

I shuck mine, and then roll it in waxed paper with a small pat of butter, twisting the ends of the paper, and microwave 2 ears for 3:40. We like our corn to have a bit of a crunch, but be hot. I think the original suggested time was 4:30. I squish/roll it around in the waxed paper until the butter is all over, take the paper off and sprinkle with seasoned salt.

We're having corn with steaks on Saturday, so maybe I'll feel brave and try it this way.
