Solo trip, 5 days. Goals are gambling for fun/profit/points. A few good meals and a show maybe. Priorities are easy access to variety of table and slots with decent odds. Don’t mind walking to nearby casinos.

convenience for walking would be cromwell and its the best odds on games with a great atmosphere. i've stayed at all 3. caesars is nicest but augustus tower is more convenient, resort tower at ballys is updated but in the back of the property. cromwell is unique, quaint, and easy.

Location wise they are all pretty equal. Gambling wise cromwell/ballys would be my first choice. Room wise probably Ballys suite.

I picked Cromwell, because it's the only I haven't stayed in before.

Stayed in a Ballys Studio Suite for one night last year when I was playing the WPT500 @ Aria.

Nice room, and I like the casino, too.

Caesars is a lovely property, but I just can't really put my finger on why I've never reallly clicked with it.

Can't really go wrong with any of them, to be fair.

The Caesars Palace tower rooms are great. They'd be darn near suites in a lot of other properties. You can't go wrong with Caesars location and amenities, just be advised the walk from the Palace tower to the strip can be a bit long for some, but if you're solo and don't mind walking it should be fine.

If you go Palace tower and you are getting dropped off by taxis during your stay, use the Colosseum valet, it's closest to that tower.

I’d pick Cromwell for the location. You’re no more than a 10 min walk to most of the center strip casinos.

Am I the only one who likes the Palace Tower location? It's central to Caesars and has the pool entrance right at the bottom of the elevators. To get to the strip follow signs to Bacchanal and take the hallway to the right of the buffet line to the Laurel Collection towers (Augustus / Octavius) and that takes you right to the bridges to Bellagio and Cromwell etc. Little bit of a walk but if you take that route you don't have to go thru any casino or by the front desk etc and theres very little foot traffic through that bypass route.

Anyway, I'd pick Caesar's for sure. If they give you the Palace room, it's about the size of the 'suite' at Bally's, and if they upgrade you to Augustus or Octavius then your standard 'premium' room is larger than the resort studio suite at Ballys. And they will usually upgrade your room at Caesars unless they are pretty full.

For me, being solo, I’d go Cromwell. I love the location and intimacy (e.g. small) size of the casino. Plus, best table rules at CET for BJ and craps. It’s easy to get to almost any other CET property within a 10 min walk... from PH/Paris (which I enjoy) or up to Harrah’s, or right across to CP.

CP is nice (obviously) but can feel more trapped to me, as it’s a little bit of a journey to get from your room to another casino, particularly if you wanted to go to say PH... can’t go wrong tho!

Super helpful advice. Thank you all very much. For those who wish to be amused by my indecision, you may have noticed I have changed my countdown timer a couple of time since starting this thread. I was booked at Ballys, changed to Ceasars, and again changed to Cromwell. Havent stayed there before, but I think that the easy access to good casino games downstairs and close additional properties will make it a winner.............until I change my mind again.

I have never stayed in any of them 9or any CET for that matter) - I would pick Caesars just because its Caesars and one to tick off the 'must stay at' list

Caesar's...I'm not a big fan of the Cromwell rooms. But it also depends upon what you plan to do, where you plan to eat, etc.

I have stayed in all of these properties & room types.
Cromwell is my FAVORITE of the 3, tho comps have only popped up once. I love the boutique feel & the super easy access to & from the Strip.
Ballys is my 2nd choice (and our #1 place to stay). The casino is meh, but rooms are spacious & nice and it is relatively easy to navigate to the Strip.
CP rooms are great, but I am O.V.E.R. the massive size of that place. It takes 20 minutes to get from any room to the Strip! And I never do well gambling there...

PS I don't recommend the top floor rooms of Cromwell--the nightclub can be quite loud. We found it VERY loud in the commode, but not as bad in the room & I wear earplugs anyway. But in the future I would get a lower floor.

I’ll be at Cromwell tomorrow night! And plan to give a live trip report, so I’ll let you know my thoughts. It’s my first time staying too!
