I am getting into town earlier than expected, so I am looking to "pool hop" these days, and see pools I've never been to. My goal on Friday, June 7th is to see the following pools:

My question, how do I get into the MB pool? I hear they are pretty strict.

If you were staying another night, I would have helped you get in. Landing around 8pm on the 10th

When I stayed at Mandalay Bay last May, you definitely had to swipe your room key at a manned turnstile to get in the pool area.

I have 2 friends coming with me but only registering one. Is this going to be a problem? Or two of us enter and one leaves to pass the key on?

Your lucky it isn't the next week or you wouldn't even be able to pay. MB has black out days Jun 10-20 for no non-hotel guests. I wanted to take my Mom there on the 13th. Thank goodness someone told me about this before we showed up. I might book a room I don't even need just for pool access LOL.

Wait, so June 10th-20th you can use the Mandalay Bay Pool even if you’re not a guest there? How did you find out about this?

Sorry about that I meant only hotel guests during that period. Normally you can pay $20 for entry but not during those dates as per their website.

I don't think so. If they are with you then it may be OK, but no guarantees.

It might be historically when they know the hotel will be near capacity and they don't want a lot non-guests trying to come in. Just a guess, I really have no idea lol

I now hear you can get it by simply telling them you want to play poolside Blackjack. Hmmmmmm.....

I think to ease your conscience pay the admission fee and be done with it.

As for bringing one registered guest and one non registered, you also might want to pay the applicable fees, especially since they have heighten security at MB and all MGM.

    Have fun, be safe

That's the thing, there is no fee to be paid on the weekends, only hotel guests. I will find a way, I'm more aggressive than most lol.

It's been a few years but from what I remember, there is a "casino" above the pool area where you can play bj. I remember there is an entrance near the elevators. I don't know the rules to get into that area or if you can go downstairs from there.

I have heard of that at various pools. legally that cant make you pay a fee to pay BJ.
it would probably be cheaper to just pay the fee for non-hotel guests. you could lose a lot money trying to avoid paying the $20 or whatever it is.
but then again, would you get free drinks playing BJ? Hmm...….

Yeah pretty sure you need to be a guest unless it’s the adult pool
