    Quick thoughts from last night.

-We were going to check out the Barbershop last night, but Dennis Quaid(really?) was performing with his band. I didn’t realize they were going to be utilizing this space as a ticketed venue. Apparently it was actors who wish they were rock stars weekend as I saw Johnny Depp was performing and Fred Armisen was doing his comedy/music act in town too.

-I’ve never seen something perplex as many people as the automatic revolving doors at Bellagio. The backup was absolutely insane as people get jamming into them and immediately getting hit which causing the system to stop for a bit. It was miserable getting in/out of there.

-I’d always heard there were a lot of bats in Vegas, but I’d never see it until last night. We watched dozens of them fluttering around the Jockey Club towers from the terrace last night and it was quite cool.

-How does ones hearing survive attending clubs? It has sounded like I may have been in Marquee at times in my room. If I can hear it that loud and clear from here what is in like in there?

It was real cool. You could ever hear them. I noticed a lot of moths the first night, so it would make sense that they’re hanging out over here near the food.

Another follow up from last night. The drinks we got on the Cosmo floor last night were hilariously light on booze. I’m not sure they are even using the 1.25oz casino pour. Going to have to order our spirits with a splash of something going forward to enjoy the drink. On the plus side, service came around regularly and the little bit of alcohol I could detect did seem like the requested Jameson.

Came up to the room after breakfast and wife had a bit of a headache, so we pivoted from the day long drinkathon since she was worried about being able to make it to Mystere at 9:30.

Instead we went for a little walk to get some fresh air and then came back for lunch at Momofuku. We love sitting at the counter here.

After lunch we decided to give one of the new CET experiences a try. Took the Flamingo Uncovered tour, which was 2 hours and clearly needs a bit more refinement. It seems that this is a work in progress and they’re still trying to figure out what to do with it. Highlight was a trip up on the roof, and the back of house portion included a few food samples.

Stopped for a little slot action on the way back up to the room to get cleaned up for tonight. Lost $100 in Yogi Bear, but had better luck elsewhere. Wife went to the penny version Piggy Bankin on the main floor because she can’t get enough of the dancing piggies.

I decided to give Kronos a shot and hit this during a Kronos respin feature on my last spin of the $100. 4BF39B9B-D4BF-4775-9376-CCCBE408DAA4.jpeg

Headed down to Ghost Donkey in a few, then probably a plate or two at Beauty & Essex before going north to TI.

Ghost Donkey is a great addition. Super friendly staff that offered samples of different mezcals and tequilas, great drinks, and superb nachos. Plus all the donkeys are adorable.

Beauty & Essex was solid, but our favorite bartender is on vacation so that was a bummer. We always enjoy hanging out with her.

-$500 after breakfast. So far the theme of the day is awful feature/bonus spins. Got a fair amount of them on Wonka/Hitchcock but only did better than 10x our bet once or twice. Hard to stay in for long without some bigger hits.Going to hit the pool for a bit before it gets too crowded then we’ll get back at it.

Those three screen wonka slots are total trash IMO. You can rip on them at $6.00/spin and never sniff a handpay (or even a good payout in my experience). I was playing one at $6.00, got the oompa loompa bonus, lined up a full screen of wilds, and it paid like a few hundred bucks. That's terrible for a $6.00 bet, and you can't get a better symbol...

Absolutely perfect pool weather this morning. Nice little dip in the water and laying out with our tropical drinks. Hopefully we rinsed the losing off us.

Took me a second on this one to realize the jewels were flying around the screen, because the still pic makes it look like Heidi went a few rounds with mike Tyson

Ready to head down for lunch at Block 16 and another run at Cosmo’s money. We’ve decided to only bring $1K down from the room so we have a brake built in in case we get a little too revved up. Best way to stop going on tilt is the long trek back upstairs. Hopefully we run hot to start and that never comes into play.

Fantastic TR with loads of pics. Especially loved Red Rock. One of our favorite escapes from the madness. Hopefully your luck at the slots turn around.

We’ve never hit anything big, but they’ve generally been good for keeping us in the game for a while. Much fewer Oompa Loompa bonuses this session, and the bonus rounds were very unimpressive. I though the chocolate river was bad, but now I never want to see Grandpa Joe’s face again after watching him lock outside the pay reels spin after spin.

Simpsons also trash. New Flintstones has more potential I think (see @ardee's report). But I'm somehow lifetime ahead on all three of these three screen cabinet games in tiny samples.
