Last week, we stopped by The Horseshoe in Bossier City. We took both our MLife Platinum cards in and both upgraded to Caesars Rewards Diamond. I was also issued a Caesars Rewards Platinum “Salute” card under their Veterans program. --Can Caesars Rewards issue a “Salute” card with the Diamond level on it? MLife can put it on the various cards (for example, our Platinum cards have it on them) but the Horseshoe folks just issued two different cards. No big deal…they will both fit in my wallet! --Since we both are “Diamond” with individual cards, will we be able to use two $100 Celebration Dinners? --What is the process for using the Celebration Dinner? We have reservations so far at one place that shows as available for using the $100... Thanks for your help!
Really simple to use at most properties. It's a use all or lose 100$ which means a 90$ meal will still burn the whole 100.
Don't know about the Salute logo thing. I would bring both cards. You should be able to use either for anything that doesn't require the logo - your tier is tied to your account number, the level that appears on the face is irrelevant for any situation except for when the only validation that's done is visual. For the Diamond dinner, you should get one for each account. I think I've seen people say they were told it could take a couple of weeks to kick in when they obtained Diamond via matching. Like @alexm said, each one is "use it all at once," you can't carry over an unused remainder. I do believe you could use both at the same time if you wanted to run a bill up to $200. Last time I checked (January), if you want to use it at one of the restaurants at Bally's, Paris, or PH, you have to go to a TR Desk and get a paper voucher. At all of the rest of the properties, they'll read it from your card. You should have until Jan 31, 2020 to use them.
Thanks for the replies... Is there a way to tell when the Celebration Dinner is available? Do they notify you in any way or do we need to ask at the rewards desk?
As long as the rewards number on the "salute" car is your total rewards card number it is technically now a diamond card as well. The number is the only thing that matters. As far as redeeming the dinner, in Vegas now they do not issue an actual voucher anymore, it is already loaded on your players card and all you need to do is when paying explain to them you want to redeem your annual dinner. You can always stop at the players club of the property you want to redeem the coupon at prior to using it to ensure everything is all set.
I don't think they notify you and Idon't think there's any way to see it online. I think in the case of earning it the regular way, it's effective pretty much immediately, takes longer when you match. You should hit a TR desk to make sure you're all set. I did get email reminders in January about not having used it yet, but that's different than getting notified that it's available.
Regarding the "Salute" Cards. AFAIK they are intended for people who are not (casino) "gamblers". It's a purely promotional level. IMHO, they do NOT make them at additional levels because the additional level privileges (except Gold), exceed the "Salute" privileges. The Diamond level dinner is available: 1)Shortly after you make Diamond the first time 2)On Feb 1 of each year (provided that you aren't renewing 7*) However, check with the TR desk to make sure.
We redeemed it 3 weeks ago at BLT and we did get a printed voucher first at rewards desk. Agree with mrstealth; I'd rather take a few minutes at rewards desk to see whether a printed voucher is needed.
Just sharing that I have noticed lately that every time I check in or stop at a total rewards desk for anything they always mention a reminder I have my celebration dinner available. Nice
