Remember yesterday when I put trough $10,000 on $JoB and was slightly above even? Today is not yesterday.

Down $600 on $6,600 coin in on $.50 JoB. Ouch. Took a walk to stretch my legs and grab some water and spiked seltzer for the room. Looking like this may turn into an early night in the room.



Recharging my phone and then back down for one more run at turning the day around.

 

I wasn’t really hungry. But I also knew I wanted something. Ashamed of how long it took me to figure out that what I was craving was

 

I didn’t know it was possible to scoop ice cream that slowly. Omg! But worth it.

And today's moment of WTF, mate?:

I need some ice and realize I haven't seen an ice maker yet. I figure I'll call down and find out where they are rather than wander aimlessly around the hotel.
Front Desk Guy: This is FDG speaking, how may I help you?
Me: Where are the ice machines?
FDG: Uh, at the end of the hallway.
Me: Which hallway? (Note: There are three hallways branching off from the elevators)
FDG: Uh, I don't know.
Me: Ok. long pause Are there ice machines on every floor?
FDG: sounding glad to know an answer No - they are on every other floor.
Me: Even floors or odd floors?
FDG: I don't know.
Me: Huh?
FDG: Well like if there isn't one on your floor, then like there is probably one on the floor above or below you.
Me: WTF, mate?

For the record - they are on the odd floors. Also they aren't anywhere near the end of a hallway. I walked down three hallways on my floor and one and quarter on the floor below mine before I figured this out.

I kind of want a bit of whatever FDG has been smoking.

 

FDG wasn't trained properly. Shame on Paris. That's Motel 8 level of knowledge, not Paris, LV level of knowledge.

Dang, girl, you've gotten enough one-off royal flushes for a year. Where's the real thing?

Meatballs looked wonderful. Think I'll have to try them this trip.
