Boxofbirds 4/13–4/16 Live Trip Report!

Played a bit more last night and lost $400 or so on VP and slots. No 4 oaks at all. Did get a $200 hit on the Park MGM reel slot. Now getting ready to checkout. Flying out in a few hours [emoji24]

They were just putting in that Best Friend slot when I was at Park in February. I liked the restaurant--very tasty.

A winning trip. That means it's time to plan your 'extra' trip. This is the one that comes 1/2 way before you had planned on returning. Never can get enough.

 

Hahaha, I was literally just thinking that! Didn’t plan on coming back until October, but might need to get another trip in before then!!!

I was thinking the same thing after my last trip. Now looking at the weekend before July 4th. That’s about half way to the late Sept week i already booked.

A few final thoughts:
- The strip run was a blast! Was so much fun posting to Twitter and having people follow along. Definitely check out the twitter thread for all the play-by-play. Not sure if I would do it again, but I might do subset of The Strip. Maybe better to do it on the first full day when I’m more rested, or to get an earlier start. I also forgot to cash out $8.50 TITO from Wynn…DOH!
- Downtown coupon run was mostly a success. Won 6 out of 8 matchplays! Though, I played one of the coupons at The D where you get $5 freeplay for every 50 points earned, but forgot to go back to the booth to redeem it before they closed for the night…oops!
- Missed out on trying the new Best Friend restaurant, and would really like to explore more at Eataly, only got to try two dishes.
- Getting Makers comped at The D and Park MGM was really nice!! Also really enjoyed the Old Fashioneds at Bally’s lobby bar. Though I think the last one I got from a different bartender was actually a Manhattan served on the rocks…
- Had some good luck at Craps, Blackjack, and Old-School Reel slots, and did OK on Video Poker. Tried some new slots like Lightning Link and Crazy Money Deluxe, but didn't really hit any good bonuses.
- I still enjoy Aria more, but would definitely stay at NoMad again if comped.
- Still Royal Flushless…
