No Porn Slappers?

The Lotion And Potion ladies can be tres annoying! I'm not normally a rude person but I just ignore them. "Miss? Miss? Miss, I need to talk to you ... ..."

I don't think they've ever tried to hand a card to me. I'm not their target demographic!

Most of them don't hit on solo women (exception: 3 years ago at Westgate) but I either ignore them or tell them flat out "No Timeshares" and they usually back off.

On one trip a number of years ago my brother and I started playing games with them, trying to get them to break character or light their "tilt" light. We finally quit that when one of them said "Hey, I'm just trying to do my job, ok?"

 

Saw a few a few weeks ago by cet side from pH to Harrah's

 

On March 29th they were in front of the Mirage entrance and also the corner of Caesar's Palace.
There were quite a few cards strewn on the ground at the Mirage entrance which kind of surprised me.

The porn slappers did the very audible "flicka-flicka" of the cards and extended their arms for anyone to take them from their hand.
They handed the cards out as a group of 5 or 6 people.
They didn't say anything to people at all and they were very chill.

Walking from Bally's Sports Book doors to Ellis Island and from Tropicana to Hooters I saw a LOT of the cards strewn on the ground, but nobody was handing them out.
They were pinched in between the plexi and the metal of the free paper/magazine dispensers and probably blew away on their own.

In 2008 the porn slappers seemed like they were everywhere and there was cards all over the sidewalk.
The worst areas then - going North on the East side of LVB....especially in front of Riviera Casino and the Sahara Casino.

The lotion people are the worst and are very aggressive. Almost hostile.
Worse than the porn slappers!
The lotion dude in Luxor.....he needs a tranq dart! You can see him gearing up to pounce.
The women do the mock outrage routine when you refuse their freebie, like you are offending them or YOU are the ^ssh0le for declining a "FREEBIE".

 

Really, that surprised me. Freedom of speak does not cover obscenity, Solicitation (for money or services) on public sidewalks and most certainly does not cover encouragement of illegal activity (yeah ...yeah..sure those women are 'dancers') . Since porn slappers come pretty close on all three aspects, I thought that a good lawyer should very easily be able to make those points in a court of law.

 

Illegal activity? This site REVELS in excessive intoxication and stories of "unlawful" sex.

Obscenity is not defined and as such not necessarily proscribed.

 

Although in a way, aren't the porn chicks also the face cream chicks?

 

I saw 1-2 of em walking from Flamingo down to PH. Certainly not like it used to be. The big thing now is all the people trying to get you to take a picture with them.

 

What happened to characters on the strip? A few years ago they were all over the place, minions, spiderman, homer, transformers etc. Now it’s just a few here and there if any.

 

I believe the city has extended some property rights to the curb provided the casinos put in sidewalks. The area in front of Planet Ho, for example. No freedom of speech on private property, which is why I wish the Fremont confederation would just buy the street from the city.

 

Always hard to vacate something dedicated and accepted for public use.

And on the Strip, it is the county.

 

there's still a bunch of them around, less of the kiddy ones. Showgirls everywhere.

 

Was there April 4-7 seen them on the strip everyday

 

New one on me, I guess. I don't ever remember seeing a Lotion D00d.

 

He's not a porn card flicker guy...he's a lotion dude.

(The first store you walk past if you have walked from Excalibur to Luxor.)
The store is pretty much all window ...he will not let anyone walk past without very aggressively trying to get them in the store. Blocking people's paths and chasing after people.
He's so aggressive and borderline insults people if they won't stop for his spiel.
You pretty much have to walk past him to get into the casino & he knows that so he takes full advantage.
I think he's been there at that location for about 3 -5 years now.

Has anyone ever joined the porn slappers for the giggles? I collected a whole bunch, then stood next to the guys to help them out and they gave me a WTF look, but then went along with it while my friends (and some random people) were taking pictures of me. It was fun in those days. Some may not like it, but it is the Vegas I knew and I sure miss them, even though it is probably for the best right now.

 

I have never done this, but I like it. I think I have posted this here before. My friends and I will take the cards from a few of them and walking down the strip show them to each other and say things like "Oh look, Crystal and Destiny have a 2 for 1 special for $79, I think I am going to go with them", we get some pretty funny looks from people.
