Membership card required for 2019 American Casino Guide use?

I have heard somewhere that the casinos now require you to present the book as well as the membership card
when you want to use a coupon.

Does anybody know if this is correct or not?

That is in the terms of the LVA but not the ACG. I've never been asked for the ACG book.

Kinda of both books terms. LVA must be in the book. ACG, your supposed to have the member card found in the book, but I haven’t had anyone ask for it for years.

 

Haven't been asked for the card or book ever.

 

Never been asked for the ACG book in like 4 years of using it. Only been asked for the card in the book twice.

I was asked for the ACG membership card at the Golden Gate a couple weeks back. Hooters also usually asks in my experience. Haven't seen it anywhere else.

 

I've been asked for the ACG card at the El Cortez and at Hooters.
The ACG has a card in the middle of the book because the book is so thick and heavy they DON'T expect you to carry it around. It's thick with all sorts of extraneous information about every casino in the country (well, most). The LVA-MRB is only coupons and is made small to fit in your pocket. They want you to have to rip the coupon out in front of the personnel in order to cut down on fraudulent coupons being used.

 

Anyone else remember the olden days when the LVA book was called the POV? Pocket Book of Values?

 

We always carry the acg cards with us but in all the years we have been doing this = we have never been asked for it. We have even forced the issue by showing our players card and the acg id card only to be told they weren't needed. Recently at The Orleans we gave the server an acg coupon and they took it without noting our player card number and asking for any id. This might be an isolated case but we are hoping to tends to be a trend.

 

I've been asked for ACG card at Tuscany and they made me write my name on the back of it before honoring. I went to Hooters in February and they didn't ask.

Just a week ago we used an ACG coupon for food at Hooters and they did not ask for players card or the ACG id card.
