This is an important lesson for all VMBnation. Do not make the same mistake(s) that The Concentrate did, here.

A) Instead of parting ways with a coug, you have to keep the party goin'. In this case, you grab her by the hand and tell her you're taking her across the street for a surprise.

You head up the escalators to the Showcase food court and whip over to the Popeye's Louisiana Chicken counter and order her up their largest side of mashed potaters (add in a styrofoam cup of the famous red beans and rice and she melts in your arms like a double dipped cone on a warm Summer day).

She'd of forgotten all about the whole Nine Five Irishman mashed wit' a quickness.

B) This situation should remind everyone there's a reason you always stay in a Strip room with a kitchen/kitchenette and you always have a nice bottle of New Zealand Savignon Blanc chillin' in the fridge.

You tell this woman to hold tight, hop in a cab to the Von's down on Tropicana, grab a bag of potatoes, some butter, a pint of milk, some curry powder, and some salt and pepper in those tiny packets you get at the napkin counter of any Strip food court.

When you return, you walk hand and hand back to the hotel room and dial up some in-room mashed potatoes, sip on some vino and continue the conversation.

Just for future reference is all. It's worked well for me when the prostitutes come-a-callin' in the wee hours of the morn, believe me.

My first (only...and last) experience in the IP room, way before the cell phones with the camera's inside, was a mattress/box spring corner caked with blood with some hairs matted into it.

Pheeeew! Man, I’m in total disbelief that I stayed up that much, and that I got that good of a sleep. As I bask in the beauty of this suite, I actually cannot believe that I was SERIOUSLY considering not doing this upgrade.

Currently having a breakfast of champions. Just gotta get a bit of work done and plan out my gameplan for today, and then we’re off to the races! Current plans are spa, Luxor (titanic exhibit, checking out eSports area), and then Cosmo to meet ffejry. Though let’s see how twisted these plans can get [emoji4]

Just a personal choice. I really don't enjoy it that much, because I need an emotional connection, not just an attraction. I also refuse to do “that” with anyone who hasn’t been tested for STDs, especially with the obscene risks so many people take with not using protection these days.

I’m also terrible at sharing a bed with another person... so even if that was to happen, I’d likely dread having to spend the night.

Overall, it’s a recipe for a bad time based on my quirks.

Quick update. Got the work done, just got out of the spa. Mirage spa is decent, very small though. I’m glad it’s only $25 per day to access, because it’s not even close to a spa like Aria’s.

The Mirage’s advantage though? The bathrobes. Wearing one of these things feels nearly orgasmic. I have one in my room too, and am seriously considering spending the $95 to buy one to take home.



Just about to get ready to head out. Plan is still on track for Luxor, and then Fferjy.

Other updates...

- I finished Vegas Vacation today right before my 48 hour rental ran out. Such a good movie! And it was even better to finish it while physically in the Mirage

- Made plans with my lady friend for tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to seeing her again.

- Snapped an AWESOME photo of the view from my room when the lighting was just right. Thought y’all would appreciate this...

 

My wife and I were fortunate to upgrade to a one-bedroom suite at the Mirage last summer. My wife fell in love with the robe and bought one for herself. She's wearing it now and says it's one of the best things she's ever purchased. Highly recommended!

 

Titanic exhibit was among the best museum exhibits I’ve ever seen. No photos allowed, but here’s one I paid $21 for.
