There will be 8 lads (aged between 40-50) looking for somewhere with an atmosphere to celebrate my bro-in-laws 50th birthday when in Vegas in November.

I am looking for ideas on where to celebrate. Not scared to pay for good food and drink in the right place

    Suggestions please

Do you have a food style/ethnicity preference? How bout location: on/off strip? What hotel are you staying at? For an all guys trip, bazaar meats could be an excellent choice.

Sorry should have said we are staying in Harrah's hotel and prefer on the strip if possible.
No preference for food style as we will all get something.

    Thanks

I think Lakeside (seafood) or SW (steakhouse) at Wynn would both be excellent choices. They are on the more expensive side of the equation but I know when I am with a group, if it’s possible financially I try to veer towards the options that I am pretty certain will have the best service as the logistics of serving a party of 8 or more can oftentimes be kind of screwed up for restaurants of a lower tier.

Is cost a factor? Is food most important or fun atmosphere?

Bazaar meats is a great choice for a group of meat eating men. Obviously any Steakhouse would be a good fit and that would include the aforementioned Treasures (though I haven't enjoyed it yet but it sounds fun, lol). If you guys are into sushi, you can get a great meal at Morimoto with a variety of apps and sushi.

Carbone at Aria is would be my top choice by far. Very fun and celebratory atmosphere, really awesome music (heavy on 60s Motown classics) and great service. Lots of old school class yet very comfortable. It’s the type of place where you can enjoy a fine meal and still enjoy several bottles of wine and conversation. Several menu items are served/flambéed tableside which adds to the fun vibe (Caesar salad, Bananas Foster...)

Just celebrated a friends birthday there a few months ago and it couldn’t have been a better fit.

I think a group of young lads celebrating a birthday would enjoy an afternoon at Chuck E. Cheese.

Cost is not a factor and I would say good food and atmosphere are important

Bazaar Meat gets my vote - just take the monorail thing from Harrah's down to SLS :) You won't regret it!
