Yes. Fried capers. So good! :feedme:

I was hoping to get a recap done tonight. But three nights in Vegas and a day of traveling is catching up to me. Hopefully I’ll get something done in the next few days or so. Bear with me, gang.

Enjoyed your report! Brought back many good memories from my stay last March! If I’d of seen this earlier; I would of strongly urged SINATRA - my personal favorite in that area! But it appears you did just fine on the dining aspect of this trip!

Enjoyed very much your trip. Great photos, and I love that dollar diamond royal at Wynn. Sorry the gambling at the end was not as good, but the food was great and the report too. Sad to see the golf course disappearing, but nice seeing the new addition to Wynn, that shopping section. Question, does Zozacrackers (whatever that Deli was spelled) still exists? If not, what is in its place?

This is getting me so excited for my trip to Vegas!! I love the Wynn. So, quick question: where are you playing VP and how are you doing with accumulating points? That Royal Flush was wow! For context, I barely scrape $25k in coin-in and, while I still get comp'd, I'll be down $3-4k per trip. I must be playing the wrong machines :(

Great trip report. I'm recently back to the board and when I saw your first post and subsequent follow-ups I was like, "a friggin college kid is tearing up the Wynncore and $5 a spin VP?! No one is aghast?! What is this madness?"

Then I checked out your profile and realized I was duped by your sandy pictures of American youth partaking in a revered national past time.

Zoozacrackers has been replaced by Charlie’s, a sports bar. I didn’t eat there this trip but I did in January of last year. It’s a pretty cool place and great for watching a game. My burger and fries were good but certainly not life changing.

The golf course is actually now being rebuilt. It’s supposed to reopen in October.

I mostly played in the Wynn HL room and that HL area at Encore but also did a few sessions at the bar in the sports book where they are now comping drinks. Points were accumulating normally. But the really good STP/DSTP games in the Wynn HL room barley generate anything.

By the end of my trip, I was definitely no longer losing less than I should. Last day’s return was in the neighborhood of 75%.

Yeah. I was just having some fun. I am indeed a college student. But I’m 44 and going through a career change. I’m not blowing dad’s money on VP. :evillaugh:

Thank YOU for taking the time to do a live TR, I really enjoyed following your trip and all the lovely food pics, congratulations on the Royal!!

Thank you for the info on the slot tournament at Wynn, I’m trying to sneak in a solo trip before Memorial Day weekend and it’s been a while since I stayed at Wynn, your photos made me realise it might be time to return.

Great report and great pics - I have been to Vegas so many times but never been to Aria, Cosmo but reading these posts and seeing these pics I think I need to get out more.

Did I read that right? Wynn comping VP bartop drinks in their sportsbook? I might actually go there next week if this is the case.

Yep. $1 is the minimum denomination. And you can get any of the cocktails, beers or wines (up to $25) that Charlie’s offers. I didn’t ask, but I have a hunch that they’re looking for you to max bet, considering the $25 ceiling.

I play $1 max bet JoB on a normal day, so I have no problem drinking with that requirement

Thanks! I primarily play $1 DDB full bet so that won't be an issue. Cheers!

I admit I was thinking you possibly were a young college student too and jealous that you could afford your play while in college. Whoops...

I should have known though. I'm like one of the youngest VP players out there (39 next week). Lol

Serious question: how packed / empty was the Wynn? Overall, how would you rate your experience there (ignoring the buffet)? I just want to get a sense of whether they're keeping up with their image or slowly fading.

You know, since I read your report I have been paraphrasing that Melanie song from the hippie era,

Look what they've done to my course, ma,
Look what they've done to my golf course.
It was the only green from a resort on the Strip
And they turned it beige and brown, ma,
Look what they've done to my course.

Now I see that I wasted the tune, LOL. I wonder now, though, if they will rebuild it completely covering the same area it used to. Will they? I read there is something else coming up in there, some other tower or resort. Have those plans changed? The photo you posted showed some stuff that does not suggest a golf course. I knock on wood. Thanks for updating me about Zoozacrackers transformation into Charlie's (have not been to Vegas in years, should go back), Zooza was no SW, but convenient for a quick bite watching the slots.
