Costco: Family was house-poor growing up, buying in bulk wasn't an option. As much as I like the idea of doing it now, I don't drive, and I don't have a Costco within walking/transit distance for me... so I've never had a reason to consider even using it.

Star Wars/Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings: To be honest, none of the story concepts really interest me.

My Father was an odd bird. He wouldn’t take us to the Alamo. His words were “if they had a back door they would have run” ??? Don’t ask I never understood. I went to a private Elementary school and we never took field trips- never. I’ve been outside of the Alamo many many times but never in.

As far as the Sopranos I don’t know why I’m not all that into rough mob violence. Breaking Bad seems to glorify drug use somewhat- from what I understand. I watched Sons of Anarchy and though I got hooked on it - I think it glorified outlaw motorcycle gangs.

I've never worn contacts. I've worn glasses since my early teens (although off and on in denial) but never went the contact route.

Similar reasons for both; value proposition. I am a 'frugal' person in someways. For instance coffee shops of any kind. I don't drink coffee at all, but I do drink tea. I never buy tea from any coffee shop. When I am at home I bring my tea from my Keurig, and when I am traveling for business I'll bring along my own tea and make it at the hotel before leaving. The idea of paying the crazy prices that Starbucks charge for something I can get much cheaper bugs me.

As for Whole Foods, I went into one and looked around then walked right out. The prices are just insane for what you are getting. Just not my deal.

    100% to each their own.

My wife is obsessed with Harry Potter and LotR... I have no interest in either.

The original three Star Wars appealed to be because of their campiness... they were fun with an easy-enough-to-follow story and (at the time) dazzling special effects.

Then in the early-00s, they decided to flood the market with prequels, sequels and one-offs. I keep watching them, hoping that they recover the "fun" that were the first three, but alas, no.

    I never married.
I think I did something right.
divorces are so expensive and it is mostly a lose / lose, but the attorneys make a killing.

Or it works out and you live happily ever after! You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
