Is there a listing of daily poker tournaments anywhere without having to go to each individual casino's website? I'm going to Vegas in April and wouldn't mind playing in a morning poker tournament. I played at Bally's and Paris several years ago. Thanks in advance.

Cool App. Thank you. Of course in Texas I am nowhere near a card room, makes it disappointing.

It's the worst. I'm in Houston, and the nearest "legal" cardroom is ~2 hours away in Lake Charles. It's ridiculous. For the DFW crowd it is either Oklahoma or Shreveport/Bossier City. The Louisiana Casinos are very decent, don't get me wrong, but TX is still stuck in puritan times. It's all politics.

One of the BIGest drawback by having such a big state. Everything is Bigger is Texas inlcuding barriers, I guess.

OK I hear has the most Native run casinos in the US. ~2 hours is manageable but painful, I get it.

This is not true in the Austin area. There are a handful of legal card rooms that offer cash games and tournaments.

I think there is a MUG (meet up group) hosted by Neeme/Owen/Moreno in San Antonio as I type this message.

    You rent the chair, $10/hr.

    Nothing like that in Houston?

They have the same “legal” cardrooms across Houston, too. I haven’t believed for a minute they are in compliance with Texas law... it’s only a matter of time before someone with authority starts cracking down.

Yeah, under Texas law they cannot operate with a rake so they have use a different per person fee structure to obtain operating income. My concern is that there is not any regulation from a state government entity so what recourse does any player have against cheating, collusion, fraud, etc. Just say no and stay in a home game with people you know and trust or go out of state to a legal, regulated casino.
