Woo Hoo! thecarve is on Spring Break! (Live @ Wynn, ‪Mar. 11-14‬)

Alright, gang, it’s almost my turn. I’m on my Spring Break and what kind of college student would I be if I didn’t take part in the festivities?

Though, in lieu of Daytona Beach, South Padre Island, beer bongs and Jagerbombs, I figured I’d opt for Vegas, fancy cocktails and ridiculously priced, top notch grub! So, in roughly 18 hours I should be touching down in our favorite place.

If you’ve read any of my other TRs, you know that I’m not terribly exciting. I don’t travel all over the valley, I don’t usually go to shows and I don’t go HAM (my classmates taught me that one!) until dawn every night. For the most part, I just eat too much, drink too much and gamble too much. So, if you want more than food porn, drunken ramblings and (hopefully) VP jackpot pics, I’m afraid I can’t help you.

I have absolutely nothing planned yet. But the food choices I’ve been contemplating include SW, Bouchon, Wazuzu, Tableau, Wynn Buffet, Yardbird, Chica, Cipriani, Sinatra and probably about a dozen other joints. Too many options, too few stomachs! I might have to solicit some advice from you folks if I can’t make up my mind. I’d also like to check out one of the trio of new-ish bars over at Venetian/Palazzo. I meant to get to at least one of them over my past few trips but never got around to it. Suggestions are encouraged.

As far as gambling, it will be mainly VP – DDB and Boner Deluxe. But I’ll probably do a few sessions of craps, the occasional slot and hopefully make it over to V/P to play some of their pitch BJ. Not a whole lot of sports to bet on while I’m there. But I’ll probably put some money on a few of the Champion’s League Matches and I’ll definitely be cheering on my (underachieving) Hoosiers as they try to play their way into the tourney!

This trip was originally supposed to start yesterday. But I got greedy trying to wait for airfare to get cheaper and waited too long. So, I had to push back the trip a few days to find flights in my comfort zone. I’m bummed that I won’t be able to do one of the weekend brunches, but at least I’ll get an extra hour in Vegas by avoiding the daylight savings time change!

Alright, I’ve rambled long enough. No promises (Vegas happens, after all) but I’ll try my best to update as often as possible and post lots of pics. Hope you’ll join me in my Spring Break festivities!
