    I received this offer today:

"Redeem your Seven Stars® Retreat to Las Vegas and stay on or before September 1st to receive $900 in casino play as reimbursement for your airfare.* "

Nothing (even in the fine print) about $500 folio credit, and last I checked, it was supposed to be $1200 towards airfare.

Another reason why I am reconsidering 7* for 2019.

    Hi Dailun:

I also got that same email. See above. I don't get it. The offer is not simply an offer of $900 in free play if you decide to drive or something, it requires submission of a flight receipt - presumably for a "reimbursement" of up to $900. Why did CET send the email if one already can get a $1,200 flight reimbursement?

As I said in the other thread, it's one of those "who's the marketing genius that came up with this one . . . . .?"

    No $500 folio credit either . . .go figure . . . .

SMH at this also. Can't wait to hear the explanation on this. Now if it is above and beyond the normal 7* retreat that might be something else. Maybe it is an extra, for the 80,000TC promo going on for some. I know grasping at straws.
If this is what I sort of think it might be I could see a bunch of CET casinos not happy with this promo. We like taking ours to Tahoe but for an extra $900 in FP it would possibly be a game changer.

Maybe some of the marketing geniuses from Boyd's have moved over to CET.

I received this same offer today. I researched the 7* retreat on the CET website and it has the same benefits as last year, $1200 for flights and the $500 folio on the room.

If this offer was on top of the airline and folio credit, then it would be a good offer. But, this is just bizarre. Who on earth would ever take up this offer? Sometimes I just don't get the 'geniuses' in marketing.

I will email our Vegas host and see what she says. She has yesterday and today off for her weekend so will have the answer tomorrow, I hope. The more I read the rules for the 7* retreat and this I believe it is an "extra"...Hope I am right.

I will wait for your host's reply but in the meantime, I will disagree.

"Redeem your Seven Stars® Retreat to Las Vegas and stay on or before September 1st to receive $900 in casino play as reimbursement for your airfare.* "

Came here as soon as I got this e-mail. They have not changed the Retreat rules this year as far as I can tell.
    https://www.caesars.com/total-rewards/sevenstars/rules

Since you must redeem and stay before September 1, I hope they mean an additional $900 FP on top of the usual $1,200 airfare reimbursement and $500 folio credit.

Watching this thread for higher rollers' host responses.

If it ends up being on top of normal offer, then I will use it on summer trip instead of waiting until GGWU weekend like I usually do. If not, this e-mail make no sense.

The way I read it, was your airfare is reimbursed through free play now. I could be wrong, it’s been known to happen on occasion! Lol I’m thinking its another cut back on the player. Hope I’m wrong.

You have been able to book your own flights and get reimbursed via FP for a couple years now. Up to $1,200.
That's what makes this so confusing.

Here is your answer, I just ask my Host

Hi, Eugene, the 7* retreat is the same: up to $1200 in airfare, $500 folio credit and airport transportation. This offer below only gives you an extra option on the airfare portion of the 7* retreat. It makes sense for people live in CA, AZ, UT or anywhere where flying in is really cheap and they can’t really take advantage of the full 1,200 in airfare.

For example, your airfare is only $600, so you can either have us pay it or you can pay the $600 yourself and get $900 in free play.

    Hope this make sense.

That is disappointing. I hit the $1,200 pretty easily for two people, but I see how this is a good benefit for those on the west coast. That e-mail sure could have been clearer.

    Thanks for contacting your host.

eh I was going to say this could make sense for someone who doesn't care to fly from to Cherokee or some of the off the beaten path casinos, or for someone who has a few million miles in the bank from traveling for work all the time.

    I'd rather get $900 free play + a $500 folio credit vs. $1200 airfare + $500 folio.

Now you could argue it should still be closer to $1,200, as you could always book a super expensive ticket now and get that. I'm not familiar with all the ins and outs (could you book an cancelable ticket on Southwest, submit it for free play reimbursement, and then cancel the ticket so you're not out of pocket?)

It does make more sense - but why in that case do they require you to present your airfare receipt if the amount paid has no relevance to the Free Play reimbursement?

And why does it state in the footnote on the email Ts+Cs

Offer limited to $900 in free casino play. No cash will be reimbursed. Anything over the maximum allowance is at the member's expense.

This seems to state that if your airfare is above $900 they will not give you more than $900 FP

Oh yeah, this is also ridiculous. I assume they want some contact with you where you formally do something that waives your right to the $1,200 in the future, but that seems silly to mandate showing an airfare receipt - lots of people could simply drive in from LA!

I got the same thing, I'm already have my 7* trip booked in April and I already booked why own flight and was counting on $1003 for Free Play, cost of my flights. I did it last year and assumed nothing changed.

Updated; I don't understand why they sent this out to everyone instead limiting to states in the vicinity of Las Vegas. Plus why is it limited up to September?

Thanks for reaching out to your host and letting us know what CET is "thinking."

BTW, the host ended with "Hope this makes sense." My answer as a Californian is that it does not.
