I am looking to stay at one of these hotels late August or Early September and I am looking for some help. I get comped through Mlife for a couple of nights only paying the resort fee. I have stayed at the Luxor before and was able to upgrade to the room with 2 queen beds, jacuzzi tub, and a sofa. I had no problems with the Hotel itself other than it is pretty far down the strip. I have not Stayed at the Park MGM or the Mirage. I never went to the Monte Carlo either. Our ages will be anywhere from like 27-30. Usually we arent in the hotel that often except to sleep and probably gamble. We go to the pool parties and then freemont street as well. What are some Pros and Cons of each of these properties.

    Thanks

If the 3, Mirage is the place to be

    Mirage:
    Pros: best pools
    Somewhat centrally located
    Major clubs within walking distance
    Closer to other major resorts
    Cons: somewhat dated basic rooms

    ParkMgM:
    Pros: newly renovated
    Newest pool complex
    Surrounded by other MGM properties
    Hamadan across the street
    Cons: renovated pretty bland
    Surrounded only by MGM properties

    Luxor:
Pros: newly remodeled tower rooms are the best of the three
    Good younger vibe
    Close to other MGM properties
    Ok pool complex
Light nightclub next door at Mandalay Bay
    Cons: furthest south
    Lacking night club options

I’ve stayed at Mirage, Luxor and Monte Carlo. I’d stay Mirage and it’d be an easy choice for me. Really like Rhumbar and the sports book there. Rooms are good too.

    Mirage:

    Best pool
    Good choice of restaurants
    Great location
Rooms are functional but are 11 years old now. Also, the Resort Rooms have tiny bathrooms. Would be tight for more than 2 people.
The casino is good, kind of a low ceiling though.

    Luxor:
The Premium rooms are newly renovated and are very nice. Amenities like shampoo aside, the rooms are nicer than those of Mirage at this point.
Pyramid rooms have a large shower. Tower rooms have a glass shower with separate tub. Note, the jets were taken out of the Pyramid Suites years ago, along with
every other suite in the hotel.
Restaurant selection in the hotel is meh, however, since it is connected to Excalibur and better yet Mandalay Bay/Place/Delano/Four Seasons by tram and interior corridor,
there is a terriffic assortment of restaurants from a food court to fine dining.
The pool is good, nothing fancy, but nice with lots of sun.
Casino is average. Tables can get packed.

    Park MGM:

Recently renovated rooms though I find them to be meh. Bathroom is a decent size with a large shower.
The pool is bland. Basically a few rectangles filled with water.
    Hotel decor is weird.
Self check in is stupid considering MGM is trying to brand Park as an upscale resort.
    No VIP Lounge.
Restaurants are good but are all very expensive. Not a huge variety.
NoMad Bar is supposed to be excellent.

I'd hate to pile on the Mirage bandwagon but I think it's the best choice out of the three. But i love the location on Park MGM. Fair warning that I stayed at the mirage the same time as you, labor day weekend. To be honest labor day weekend is fun enough no matter where you stay. But Mirage had more of a family feel than a young party vibe. could just be my experience though. There where plenty of young people there. It just wasn't packed with them.

If you;re not big on walking the strip and you're going to uber everywhere then Luxor tower rooms will be a good choice. It will give you the biggest amount of space for your group. Mirage comes in the middle, and park MGM is too small where i would recommend for only solo, couples, or two friends.

FYI no cheap 24 eats at the Mirage. Something like that is usually important for the younger crowd

    Depends on what you want

Mirage is best hotel of the three, but I'm not crazy over the location. But there's zero doubt it's a better place than the other three

Park's reviews have been mixed, but it's in a great location (at least for the casinos I like to gamble at). You're connected by Tram to Aria and Bellagio and across the street from NYNY and MGM. Pretty easy access to Cosmo and PH as well.

Luxor's too far south for me.

Mirage by a landslide for all reasons but when looking strictly at pool: Luxopr pool is a big concrete patio with a middling pool. I was there a couple years ago and shocked art how lame it was (compared to other Vegas pools of course). Park MGM pool, despite the renovations, appears to be a blown opportunity by MGM when compared with the old Monte Carlo pool complex.

Mirage has always been my home in Vegas. I've stayed a couple of nights in Harrah's, but Mirage seems to offer the best bang for your buck. Great sports book, great pool, location next to Caesars and across from Venetian and Harrah's (I love to day gamble at Carnaval Court with the bands playing).

Having said that, I'm giving Park MGM a shot in a few weeks. I always had good luck gambling at Monte Carlo and have never stayed at that end of the strip. I'm interested to see how it compares. If I remember, I'll follow up here with my pros/cons.

Luxor, Your are right in between, Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, NY-NY, tram connects 3 of them, options galore. I love the Mirage but not a lot of food options.

I stayed at Park and Luxor last year and I am returning to Luxor this year. I really like the access to MGM properties from those locations as well as the food options. Yes it is south on the strip but Mirage doesn't hold the same appeal to me since I feel like it is really giving you access to CET properties more than mLife.

If you are partial to mLife properties, Park gives you great access and Luxor gives you easy access to Mbay and reasonable access to the other properties.

Luxor to me but I prefer the South end of the strip. Tender is great and RiRa is in the Shoppes at Mandalay Bay. I also prefer the feel of the casino at Luxor over Mirage or Park. Pool-wise Mirage wins but Luxor is second and you can get nice morning sun or shade if you like.

Mirage, although, I would say an upgrade to the Resort Tower Room is almost a must. All the floors up to 23 share an elevator bank, but the Tower floors of 24 and 25 have dedicated elevators. Add to that much nicer bathrooms and an upgrade is worth it. It was built as a quality property, even though much of it isn't comparable to the best places these days.

Personally, I would go with Luxor after Mirage just because the staff I've dealt with have been great and as a low end Mlife property, I've never had to stay in a base room with any offer, even if the offer was for a base room. They seem to treat even low level players very well. Someone in the main office understands that good customer service is a cheap way to buy loyalty.

I'm just not digging Park MGM. Nomad seems great, but the small rooms, lack of storage and bathroom privacy, along with the failure to solve the room noise issues inherited from Monte Carlo are deal breakers. The underlying building doesn't have the solidity or quality feel of anything Steve Wynn built.
