Lots of casinos do like to screw over Deuces. I think the 94.82% version is common at McCarran.

Finally awake after a long sleep. We got back to Ottawa safe and sound. We made our connection, little stressful but we did it.

Quick Summary of Top Revelations from Vegas

    1) Signature MGM is a pretty nice hotel. It's not too far from the casino. The major bonus was that it had a mini fridge, so we didn't need to keep getting ice. And we had the most basic room. We would stay there again in a heart beat. It also didn't have too many party animals, which was pretty awesome. My girlfriend and I are pretty quiet, so it was nice to have peace and quiet. We live in a condo in Ottawa in Westboro that has mostly older people, which is quiet, so this was similar, which we liked.

    2) Timeshares aren't for everyone, and the food sucks. Don't expect any good food here. If you have a long trip and can sacrifice a couple of hours, and are on a tight budget, this is a decent idea. The shows they offered us were all good ones like Kris Angel, Love, Ka, O, etc. We would have had to pay hefty $$$ for those tickets and we got it for free, plus $100 in gambling. We agreed that if we go to Vegas again, we would do it again in a heart beat.

    3) Downtown buffets are cheap, and decent value but the food might make you feel sick. Mirage Buffet was amazing.

    4) It pays to look at the different sportsbooks if want to bet futures. William Hill offers much better odds. Some of the sportsbook closed early at 10pm, which kind of sucked. I won my Portland bet, and the game ended at 10:05pm, and had to wait until the next day to claim the winnings. That kind of sucked. Not sure why the sportsbooks don't stay open another 30 minutes or an hour. This was at MGM. Also, you can cash tickets at different properties as long as they are under the same umbrella (ex. MGM, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, etc. can all be redeemed at each other because they're MGM).

Vegas is fun! Hope you all enjoyed the report!

Some casinos will cash sportsbook bets at the main casino cashier for future reference

    Great report, I enjoyed reading.

To piggyback on the Sportsbooks bets, check out Vegas Insider dot com has opening lines at all the various casinos for games that day (and sometimes the next day late at night). For future bets, I also suggest the Superbook as they have the largest sportsbook in the world and all these random bets. I place a baseball future bet for the A's every year and I like to "shop" for the highest odds for my money. The Superbowl Prop page was 20+ pages double sided.

Great TR! Went to go see Mike Hammer at 4 Queens on my Super Bowl trip this year and Kris Angel was sitting in the audience. He got introduced and promoted his show. Hammer was going on tour with him in the future.

Wait, 6 nights in Vegas and no checked bags??????
My wife has 1 suitcase alone just for bathroom stuff.
Do you give lessons on how to pack on trips? If so, sign my wife up, but doubt she will go as Canada is a bit too cold. :)

That is one of my wife's favorite store as you get Vegas specific stuff there that you can not get locally.

LOL...I have one suitcase dedicated to toiletries, makeup, etc. Glad to know I'm not the only woman out there who does this! This is also why we drive 99.9% of the time. We just bring too much damn stuff!

Wasn't that the Canadian singer that was discovered by Celine Dion and played at Bally's for a while? Veronic or something? I saw that one as well for $2.50. Lol

Yep. Show would have been better if she dropped the worst 1/3rd of her voices.

Great report, I really enjoyed reading it and very humorous!! I actually saw Criss Angel on his opening night show at PH, I thought it was great as well. And interesting about the future bets at William Hill compared to the other sportsbooks. Need to check that out. But honestly, weather the Blue Jays are 50-1, 250-1 or 2000-1, does it really matter in the AL East, with the Red Sox and the Yankees there? Not happening for the Jays, let's be honest here.
