    My Trip Report

Wrapped up 4 days in Las Vegas this week with my Mom and Sister - both hitting milestone birthdays over the past few months.

I did want to dish out a few highlights and experience to hopefully help out anyone in future planning:

Lodging - 3 nights at the Bellagio - Fountain View king for me; adjoining queen for the ladies. Worked out very nice. Rooms were very nice. View was awesome.

Transportation- Uber’d Everywhere. No complaints. For comparison, my Uber from the airport (Sunday, 9am) cost $13. The girls’ cab ride was $28. Uber forever!

Dining - Sunday was Eataly for a late lunch. Very nice! The one in Chicago is much more of a “store” than this one. The food and service was good. Prices were fair. Happy to relay that our server Eileen used to work at Diablo’s. Had dinner at In-n-Out at the Linq. Fine food.
Monday was brunch at Mon Ami Gabi. A bit chilly so we ate inside. Food was very good. Dinner Monday night was Border Grill at Mandalay Bay. Outstanding fresh Mexican. My scallops and shrimp were great!
Tuesday was brunch at Hash House a Gogo at the Linq and dinner at Carbone’s in Aria. HHaGG was OK. Decent food but horrible service. On the other hand, Carbone’s was Outstanding! The food and service was first class. Chris was our server and outstanding! We had Veal Parm and Rigatoni w/ spicy vodka sauce.

Shows - Michael Jackson’s ONE on Monday - they’ve changed the show since I first saw it 5 years ago. Much better now. Seems like more of a story with more cirque acts. I liked it a lot.
Penn & Teller on Tuesday - their show was great! Exactly what I expected and even better! Got called up on stage and still amazed they guessed my answers. They seem genuinely nice and loved their audience interaction both during the show and after. I’d see them again!

Gambling - bottom line is I came home with money based on a 7 card club flush on my first hand playing High Card Flush Monday afternoon at the Mirage. $1500 just like that. Lovely!
Speaking of lovely, thanks to a few reports on here, I sought out Heidi’s Bier Haus at the Bellagio. She did not disappoint! Two big bonuses netted about a $500 profit. Even on my way out and to the airport Wed AM, I gave her $20 and she gave me back $47!
One more item to report regarding craps limits...even in the AM it was hard to find a $5 table. Only one I found/played was at Casino Royale.

I gambled and spent enough this trip to move from MLife Pearl to Gold. Also, I’m now Caesar’s Rewards Platinum thanks to their Military vet program,

All told, it was a great trip....all three of us had a great time! Can’t wait to go back in May!

    Thanks for the report.

Did the girls get tunneled? I have had a dozen rides from the airport to PH and usually pay $20 which includes the tip as the ride is usually $15-$16.

Glad to read a positive review as my wife has been talking about Eataly before it opened and looking forward to eating there for our March trip.

They usually don't open the table until 11 and then it is packed. Hard to find an open spot. Did you check Excalibur, Paris and Bally's as well?

To me, this is a successful trip. Roll that money into next trip's budget.

I did confirm today that they went to Bellagio via the interstate. Forgot to warn them. Regarding Craps, both Paris and Bally’s were $10 around 11am. Didn’t check Excalibur then, but Excalibur had $5 tables at 1130pm on Monday. I do like gambling there.

    Thanks for reading!
