German guy's solo trip - will try to do semi-live

I continued my daytrip and went into Death Valley National Park, heading towards Furnace Creek and Badwater.
It was just yesterday that i explained my love for desert landscapes, so i don't need to do it again today, but: This landscape is just staggering! Rough and very archaic, but absolutely beautiful in a very unique way.

 

My thirsty little friend Acadia was then allowed to take a ride on Artist Drive. And, because it was so much fun, we did it again a second time!

 

But enough of the fun. Next stop was badwater. Finally i met other human beings again in this landscape, that could have easily been the set for some apocalyptic scifi movie. I did even spot a huge offroad campertruck with a valid german license plate. How the hell did that guy do that? Shipped it over for some weeks on a big frightship? Or did he drive all the way across russia and siberia, made a shorter shiptransport and then drove through canada to this very place?

Sadly, the driver was nowhere at hand, so i couldn't ask.

 

While still at Badwater, the sun made it's descent rather quickly, so i decided to now start the lone way back into civilization again. Did the drive through Shoshone and Pahrump rather uneventfully, but started to get tired more and more. I managed to arrive safely back in Las Vegas again, grabbed a quick burger for dinner and hit the casino floor.

Played the WillyWonka slot for a bit, going slowly up and down, when suddenly a random Oompa-Loompa-Feature triggered...




I grabbed the money and called it a night for today. Got to catch some sleep for tomorrow. Will be a very interesting day, i could imagine. In the afternoon a nice group slotpull at Cosmo with some other fellow VMB members, set up by @Lucky7, and later that night some more drinks, cigars and just hanging out and having a great time.

I might not report back in tomorrow night for obvious reasons, so stay tuned for the following day folks!

Aaaaand i am back again with the next recaps of this tripreport.

So, after the daytrips done, the next interesting part came up the following day. A group slotpull set up by @Lucky7 at the Cosmopolitan. A late breakfast (ok, well... let's call it lunch) and i slowly walked and gambled my way up to the Cosmo, and finally met with Lucky7. Some other participants bailed out upfront, but we still hat a lot of fun.

We were roaming around the casino floor and played on various slots along our way.
Some showed us some love....





While other slots made it quite clear that they were not willing to pay out anything. And they were not very polite about it either...



On the long run the house did obviously win again, but although we had no handpays to report, we did spent quite some time at the Cosmo, enjoying numerous drinks, cheering on every single bonus we scored and had a real good time. Would do that any time again!

 

Having a few pretty strong drinks during the slotpull, i figured i needed some good dinner then.
I went over to the Mandalay Bay and got dinner at the Noodle Shop.



Vegetable eggrolls with two dips. The yellow one was extremly spicy, but still delicious.



Next: Chicken sweet and sour with fresh onions and mixed bell peppers. Absolutely yummy! The chicken was moist and tender, the vegetables crisp and full of flavour. I really loved it.



Finished this meal with a nice Tsingtao Beer. Liked the taste of it, fresh, light and hoppy.
Service there was fantastic, they even offered me to box in the leftovers, which was pretty convenient as a drunken late night snack.



Fortune cookie wisdom of the day. Well... I've never done anything else, so i guess that might be the right thing to do.

 

After dinner i walked up to the Cosmo again, for some more drinks, a cigar and some gambling with @Lucky7

Might post a picture of me and Lucky7 later. I'm not sure if it's ok for him to be shown in public here, so i rather wait for his permission to do so.

Anyway, we gambled for a few hours more, and had even more drinks while gambling around the casino floor. But finally it was really time to call it a night. Lazy me grabbed a cab back to homebase and made a crashlanding right into the bed. What a long and amazingly funny day!

 

I’m am really sorry I had to bail on the day/night. I was so excited to partake. Sounded like you guys had a fun time though!

Where did you find that $2 max bet WOF machine as they are near impossible to find?

 

At London Heathrow right now. About 3 more hours to departure. I‘ll be back home around midnight, so i will continue tomorrow.

 

I DID light up a nice one after the handpay, but i was just too shocked, so i simply forgot to take a pic.

That WoF Slot was at the Cosmo, close to but not in the high limit area.
