My MIL and Grandmother in-law will be coming down to Vegas with us to help watch our little ones for our 5 year anniversary/vow renewal.

I need some help on hotel recommendations for them (I will be helping them book with their credit card).

My grandmother doesn’t want to spend no more than $120-$130 a night and my mother in law is fine with spending $150 a night.

The dates are April 19TH-21ST. Any ideas? I’d prefer for them to be central strip or close to any arcades for the kids. (Not Circus Cirus)

    Good luck.

    1) That's a weekend
    2) That's a spring break week

Here's the CET "no-login" calendar for that weekend. Add in resort fee and you're over $150 a night anywhere. You get a slight break on Sunday night (if you're staying over until Sunday.)

Heres the mLife calendar for that weekend. More of the same.

    Excalibur.

    Almost central.

    Definitely kid friendly.

Economical relative to other large Strip hotels.

That's going to be tough with Easter weekend.

I found a little better than above at priceline when I logged in, but they are uncancelable rooms. Linq was like 77 a night plus resort fee and tax.. Tropicana was 82 a night plus fee and tax.

Central strip is just not going to happen with a hotel at that price point, if you're factoring in resort fees, tax, AND parking fees. Your best bet is either an AirBnB close to or on the strip, or a north strip hotel with a Las Vegas Monorail stop (like Westgate or SLS).

The last big arcades on the strip are in the Excalibur, New York New York, and Circus Circus hotels (and if you count computer gaming, the Luxor, with their eSports Arena). You'll want to get something close by to those hotels. Otherwise, I would recommend something more family-friendly, like The Orleans.

Wow i just tried that offer code at Luxor and it worked! it gave me $75 a night for Labor day weekend Friday through Monday for a double queen pyramid. That's an incredible deal and probably worthy of it's own separate thread

Treasure island is very nice n clean, food options aren’t much though. NYNY seems nice too. You can go frugal and still stay at a nice property.

Did not see age of kids.. that could be an issue.

Excal is good as they have the food court too... and easy indoor walking to Luxor and M-Bay. And easy to get over to NYNY.

The in-laws, hey? Considered Pahrump or Laughlin?

But seriously, if you bring them over to watch the kiddos, you may want to book them nearby, or even in the same hotel (separate wing perhaps) where you are staying? It wasn't quite clear where you will be staying with your partner, that would make suggestions a wee bit easier.

Try smarter vegas. It has deals that hotels offer, some not even advertised. You like the deal, click on the link to book it and you are directed to the hotel's site to book directly.

Based on your requirements for closeness to arcades and room pricing you're looking at Excalibur or New York New York. Both have arcades. NYNY has a roller coaster too! Also have cheaper/quicker eats that may please the kids too.

Well I've been playing Wynn Slots so will most likely end up with a free room there. Id like for them to stay there as well. But it is not in the budget. Thinking of the Mirage, TI, Ballys, or Flamingo depending on what type of deals I can get.
