Well March Madness is only 2 months away, so let's see who is going, especially week one. After missing MM for a few years I went back last year, and am completely booked for week one this year. $70 round-trip airfare (one-way on points) and 6 nights downtown.

So let's all get detailed on our plans, don't just post your dates. Are you attending a viewing party? If so, which one and why? Up for a meet-&-greet? Where & when? Who's your team? Where are you staying? Any favorite places to watch or bet?

    My story:

I grew up in Syracuse, and took one summer course there, so they are my team. Despite the great win against Duke this week, I suspect they will be riding the bubble again this year.

I don't do the viewing parties, as I spend most of my time gambling and drinking free. I attended the March Madness in LV Facebook group party at the Plaza last year, up in the air if I will do so again. I was late getting in last year, that may have reduced my enjoyment of it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/mmilv/

In the past I have done most of my betting at Boyd books, as I usually end up at Orleans for the last 2 nights comped so I could cash any leftover tickets there. I have a William Hill mobile account, and used it last year effectively.

This trip I am spending (based on anticipated March offers) probably $100 - $180 more on hotels than I might otherwise. I got a reduced rate offer from MSS/Cal for the 1st time in years, and have Wed - Sat booked at the Cal, and a BOGO Sun-Mon at the D. This is a good thing as I love downtown, and this will be the first time in many years that I have stayed downtown exclusively. As a result, I will not be spending the usual $150 - $200 on a rental car, and will be using the bus for transport (no more limited drinking while driving, yay!). I expect to make a coupon run Thursday to Ellis Island, Gold Coast, & Orleans, and probably one Strip run, perhaps on Monday after the action dies down. Otherwise you will be finding me downtown pretty much the entire trip. I will spend a lot of time at the Boar bar in MSS, any meetups are welcome, PM me closer to the trip dates.

So let's celebrate another year of MM 2019!

    I am in town March 27 - April 2. hotel-hopping downtown.

I am not crazy about the games but I will check out a few. any of the books downtown are easy for me to get to.
my brother sends money with me to bet for him. I am not a big bettor.
sometimes I will copy his bets for $10 or $20.
I will cheer on any of the home teams (Indiana). if they are all eliminated, then I will pick some others.

I arrive Tuesday March 19th and I’m taking the Red Eye home Friday night (family obligations on Saturday). I’m staying 3 nights at Harrah’s.

Planning on attending the MMILV pre party on Wednesday at The Plaza, Westgate on Thursday, and The D and Plaza free viewing parties on Friday. I’m rolling solo and will be betting on games with the William Hill or Caesar’s App, and playing lots of craps.

11th year for me. WVU fan so probably adopting teams to root for this tournament. Arrive March 18 for 2 nights at Cosmo. Then 3 nights at Ballys. Leave early Saturday. Cheapest hotel since we stayed at the IP. Paying for Monday night at Cosmo and Friday at Ballys. The rest comped. Our usual group of 6 is down to 2. No watch parties, we’ll probably try to grab seats at VP bars. I’d love to get down to South Point. It’s been years since we’ve been there. I really love Cosmos viewing party and watching games at Twin Peaks. Downtown, the d is still the gold standard.

Staying at Ceasars for 1st days comped and then the wife has 2 days at Harrahs for $18.00 a night. Will be doing the Plaza party for 3rd year in a row. The Plaza party always gives me a chance to catch up,with dozens of folks that I meet on the MMILV Facebook page. Always a good time.

Will be doing the Flamingo Hoops On The Strip party for the first 3 days. I love the set up. 20 huge flat screen TVs that surround the room along with 4 open bars and 2 around the clock buffets! I’ll be joined by a friend from Vegas, 2 from Milwaukee and a friend from Tucson. Then do either Palace Station or Westgate watch party on Sunday. Have my Oldest daughter staying on my comp dime at West gate for 2 days ( weds-Friday) then 2 more days at Palace Station. She is joining me for all 3 days at flamingo on my 2 ticket comped (will decide what to do with wife and another daughter when they arrive Friday night). She, my eldest, will be going to her 5th final four this year and is truly a NCAA hoops fans.

Always rent a car and since I don’t drink booze I’m never in danger of drinking and driving . Eldest turns 39 yrs old Friday so gotta think of something special to do. Will be taking everyone to see En Vogue Saturday at Orleans .

This is either my 7th or 8th straight MMILV Best time of the year to be there. I too am down for a meet. Actually about 8 of us are having a meet in the Harrahs Diamond lounge Friday night . If anyone here is interested ( we have 4 diamonds and 1 7* committed already ) please let me know. We might have enough diamond and 7* to get you In!

Please check out the March Madness in Las Vegas Facebook page if you are a true college Hoops fan.

Attached is a preview of what the flamingo set up looks like.

Not sure how big a draw the tourney is, but with it being St. Paddy's that weekend, including Spring break, followed by the main tournament starting Wed. it will be a busy two weeks.

I understand the weekend, but not the high Tuesday rates; must be something else.

The Pac 12 is not the only conference tournament going on at that time. You also have the WAC and West Coast in Vegas.

I go every year for MM with a friend. This year is the Mirage again from late Wednesday night to the red eye on Sunday night. A lot of sports betting with parlays my favorite. I also play craps a bunch and even some poker tourneys. This is my probably my favorite time to go to vegas due to MM. I go 4-6 times a year including at least 2x during football season. I have never done any of the events. I just watch games, lose sports bets and have a lot of fun. I may call my host to see if there are any parties to go to.

Definitely possible. I'll know more after the 1st when the casinos announce their March casino promotions. It's hotel moving day for me, but hopefully that will be completed around Noon - 1 PM.

March 28-31 at Cromwell for me. Usually I'm a conference tournament weekend guy, but this year I had to switch to Sweet Sixteen. I prefer a less crowded week that still has lots of good basketball. Both of those weeks generally fit the bill.

Also, I didn't realize it when I booked, but the 28th is Opening Day as well. So I'll be able to get a ton of baseball betting done as well. Should be fantastic.

Sweet 16 much better week for MM. And you're right. Baseball begins the week of Sweet16 week. NIT, MM, baseball, NBA. Bettors paradise.
