I dont need to order from my slot....it would just be nice to have a "drink call" button, like on an airline, where you can push for a flight attendant.

With a drink call button, if someone leaves, the waitress hasn't brought a drink, since they still take the order, so if someone bails, they just turn off the light.

Seems like good middle ground between hunting for a waitress....and a complex "order a specific drink on your slot machine dashboard" that results in waitress bringing drinks to people who are long gone...

@oghuman I totally understand, I play VP early and then when the cards sometimes get blurry I switch over to slots if I have to finish points for a bonus. lol

Since there was no clear explanation as to how these things work, here’s my overview of this system from when I used it in Atlantic City this week.

Basically, you start out with this screen

    Then press “beverages”

In my case I wanted beer. Chose bottled beer, then Corona.

    Confirmed it

    It’s on its way

    Got it!

It’s simpler than I thought, but I still don’t like it, especially because more than once it said my order couldn’t be fulfilled at this time.

I feel like this suits the average 2019 business model very well. Easy to track and control for the bean counters, and self-serve for the customer just like everything else we do these days (hotel check in, grocery check out, etc).

So it was interesting, but it didn’t change my opinion about anything. If I want to go somewhere to really drink and gamble, I’ll go to one of my carefully selected off-strip places where they offer “actual” drink service with no hiccups or excuses.

@notfromconcentrate we were in ac this past weekend as well. Waitress told me that if it says order can't be fulfilled it typically means the service bar handling that area doesnt have that particular product. For example wild wild west doesnt carry belvedere at the service bar so when ordering it the screen says can't be fulfilled. I also know that for a huge chunk of Saturday and Sunday ballys and Caesars had no bottled Corona. They were actually serving it in cans at the tables.

I tend to think anyone who doesnt use the system regularly probably prefers utilizing a waitress. Personally I wish every casino would use this. I find it efficient and effective, but we go to ac 4 or 5 times a year and use it all the time.

I'm in New Orleans on vacation right now (leaving today unfortunately) and like Slimm said, they still have it here. I got no less than 4 drinks in 20 minutes playing VP, my wife got a few too just watching lol. I'll definitely be back as his feature is fantastic.

I may even give more action on VP for those machines that do have this feature, notwithstanding the fact I'm normally just a table games player. It really makes the experience far more fun.

I'll be in AC next month so hopefully Caesars has it on their VP banks, good way to get lubricated before a hopefully long BJ session lol

Yes they still have the drink ordering system at all the CET casinos in AC. I like it very much and prefer it over a waitress so I can concentrate on my game rather than look for a waitress, especially when the floor is not busy.

extra note...for New Orleans, if you play in the High Limit slot section, you get the machine and waiter/waitress who comes by frequently asking if you need anything

It is excellent. One thing I would note as well: CET varies drink privileges by tier IIRC - I think diamond can get stuff that gold cannot in AC.

AC has always been sorta weird on beer relative to LV...Borgata doesn't serve many types on the floor and the Taj poker room served the worst draft beer in history.

I am Gold with Caesars Rewards and at both Bally’s and Caesars I can order bottled beer from the drink menu. I think Draft beer is Miller Lite served in a 9 Oz cup.

Somewhat true. Gold can get the same items but sometimes is asked to pay $1 or $2 to upgrade. Before earning Diamond the fees were as follows Whiskey and Diet (Comp) Jack and Diet (1$) Crown and Diet (2$) Vodka was same way well - 0 Absolut - 1 Grey Goose / Belvedere 2 Also you paid extra for red bull vs energy drink. At tables tier was never questioned regardless of order.

Did you have to pay for the beer in AC? We have this service in Baltimore, but we have to pay for the beer. It's a law that they can't comp alcohol.

They had/have this feature at Harrahs in NOLA. Damn was it awesome and damn did the drinks come 10x faster hence drunker 10x faster (not always smart when gambling). However I did like it as the drinks were still just as good.

Nope, it was free. There were paid options for more premium stuff, but that was clearly identified with a “$” beside the item name.

The same rules apply up here in Ontario, that alcohol can’t be comped.

I havent had redbull at the tables in years, its always been comped at bars but in New Orleans when I did order a redbull at the tables, they always checked my diamond/7* card, said it was only comped for diamond/7*, probally still this way today

Council Bluffs had this I'm sure last time. I will be dead honest & say I paid no attention in Joliet. I really liked it in CB as my blood sugar dropped low a couple of times FAST. I ordered a juice and when she came with it asked if she would bring another on her next round. Because Harrahs floor size there is so small it only took her a couple minutes to bring me the juice.

    Easter again..:
