What about the "other end" of the Strip like Circus Circus or Stratosphere , I am guessing they all have $5 Craps with good odds play???

    Stratosphere. $5. 10x odds

But The STRAT is exclusively Crapless, isn't it?

I have never been to stratosphere, but their website says they have craps, crapless and bonus craps.

Been a few years for me.

I'm surprised The House that Stupak Built would offer more beyond The Game that Stupak Invented.

But, as the Polish Maverick is no more...

No it’s not. Last year they had at least one normal craps table!

So, I'm always giving The Cromwell praise for their 100X odds....but then I see this picture in a Tweet today from The Cromwell. The tweet itself says "nothing tops 100X odds!" Anyone see anything incredibly wrong about the accompanying photo?

Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but one player is betting single odds, and the other has ZERO odds bet. I would think if you were touting your 100X odds, you would not show a picture where basically no one is taking any advantage of that at all.

Exactly. They could at least show someone playing 10X odds, which by itself would differentiate The Cromwell from the rest of the Strip.

To an uneducated gambler, showing a photo of $1010 bet could be daunting and make one think that it was a required bet and scare them away

Even if you threw a black chip in there for one, showed one bet with 1X odds and one with no odds it would make more sense.

Better question, is the Strat the only place with Crapless tables?

That is a cool picture, ,minus the obvious issue with the odds behind the line.

The only way it would be worse would be if there was a Big 6/Big 8 on the table with money on it. :)

Good point. Now that I look at the picture, I'm not sure I've ever noticed the over/under 7 bet before. If it's been on the games I've played, I've definitely not ever seen anyone actually make that bet.

That's funny. Before I posted my comment I looked again and thought 'wait, where is the Big 6 and Big 8'.

I see people at the local casino make the Big 6/8 bet all the time and the dealers, pit boss, and everyone else at the table just shakes their head.

In my local, the Big 6 & 8 are bet with regularity, and they don't even appear on the layout.

The number of "Gimme a five dollar 8" bets is amazing.

100X odds is a gimmick. I mean, if you’re normally a $100 pass-line player with a $5K session bankroll, it’s a great deal. You can put the minimum $10 on the pass line and do $1K in odds. Normally the $100 on the pass line means being limited to $500 on odds, which must be as annoying as having to replace the gold plating on your toilet seat.

Even 10X odds is not feasible for a large majority of craps shooters, even at a $5 table. If I were a $500 session bankroll guy, different story, I would do it (hint: I am not).

People probably think it’s a special secret thing that only the cool people know about, like the secret menu at In-N-Out Burger.

It is consistent with the general rule that if the house is offering it to you, it’s a bad deal. Like “Insurance Pays 2 to 1” being emblazoned in the largest font on the blackjack table, while you have to ask if late surrender is offered.
