    My Trip Report

    Highlights of SB trip

Arrive Thursday morning before SB. Hour flight. Free SW air miles. 10 people in total coming to LV.

Rent car and head to Bally’s. VIP card Diamond check-in. Get Jubilee room, odd number high floor. No early check in charge. In room by 10am.

Nine Fine Irishman, NYNY. Two $35 MyVegas coupons for lunch. Guinness and Chicken Pot Pie. Delish.

I tell driver to go to Planet Hollywood. We end up at Planet 13.

Off to Pin Ball Hall of Fame on Tropicana. Love my pinball.

Head back to hotel and change for dinner. Vic & Anthony’s at Golden Nugget Downtown. They had a $52 special. Appetizer (lobster bisque soup), Entrée (Filet Mignon), side (Au Gratin potatoes) and desert (Bread pudding & ice cream ). Good meal and service. Not sure I would go back. Other steakhouses to try. Cruise Fremont Street. Back to Bally’s and make all my SB bets. Better odds the earlier you bet. NE all the way.

Friday. Breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi. Patio. This must be the first breakfast every time I go to LV. Great, strong, black coffee. Eggs Benedict. Beautiful view of the Blvd.

11:30 tee time at Stallion Mountain Golf Course. $49 fee, $60 club rental. What a perfect day for golf. No wind, high of 65. Short sleeve Polo shirt after 3 holes. It’s February and I’m golfing.

Paris Buffet for dinner. Really gone downhill.

We all got caught up on what each of us has been doing since last SB. We have been doing this for SB weekend for the last 15 years. We fly in from NY, Florida, NJ and Sacramento/Reno area. Gamble the night away.

    Saturday

Heading over to the Mirage for the day. Playing the horses and the 11am poker Tournament. $125 buy-in. I get knocked out with an incredible bad bet. My partner wins a 4-way chop. $1300 each. $650 for me to smooth my bad beat.

Dinner at Center Cut Steakhouse, Flamingo. I hear they are going to close? Excellent food and service.

Back to Mirage for Beatles Love. Great show. Free MyVegas ticket. Saw it 3 years ago. Got better.

    Superbowl Sunday.

Back to Mon Ami Gabi for breakfast. Miniature golf at Ballys.

VIP Superbowl Party at Harrah’s. Typical stadium food. Plenty of free booze. I won on NE but a boring game.

Say goodbye to all my SB friends. I go to LV 3 times a year. Next two trips are with wife. I love Las Vegas.

Hi Tahoejoe2, were you at a table by the food with 3 other guys and loads of crablegs. We were right next to you. You are so right about the food, really downhill.
The line to get into the SB party was unbelievable!

Interesting. It is not a huge facility. Wonder if that will involve moving the Diamond Lounge (or removing?) and taking part of that footprint also?
