Well we finally arrived!

My gf and I don’t believe in checked bags, so right after our flight, we just grabbed our carry ons and darted to get a Lyft to Four Queens.

I’ve never stayed downtown before, been there many times but never stayed downtown. Four Queens has so much smoke, which kind of sucks. Got to the check and tried the ole $20 trick. Ole Lady says nope. I said oops, I forgot my $20 next to my credit card, can I have that back please? She said yup. Super awkward. We ended up getting a normal king sized room that’s non smoking. Room is meh.

Then we were going to Magnolias for a two for one entree with the LVA but the stupid reward thing is closed at midnight. We were both starving tho, so just went there and split some burgers and wings. My girlfriend loves hot sauce and I hate hot sauce, so it came drenched in hot sauce. I told her I was fine but I couldn’t feel my face. It was literally like fire on my face, but the bad fire, not the good fire.

After that, she was tired and went to bed. I was going to do the coupon run but like all the rewards places were closed so I couldn’t redeem my coupons. The only one open was the D. I had two matchplays for $25. I did black on back to back spins and it went red and 0. Fml. Down $50 already.

Foiled again like aluminum.

After that I played some VP but lost $50 on that because I’m terrible and don’t know strategy. I see everyone posting pictures of quads and royal flushes. All I ever get is pair of 2s. Or a 4 card straight.

This random girl then sits besides me and asks if I’m having fun. I tell her no because I keep getting a pair of 2s and that pays nothing. Then she says she asked if I wanted to have fun. I finally then clued in that she was a hooker. I told her this machine foiled me again like aluminum and left like a boss.

Then as I’m walking to the elevator to my room, I realize I forgot my players card in the machine, so how to do the walk of shame, and the girl was still there. I did not feel boss at all haha. More like a peasant, like jacks, or better yet, I felt like a pair of 2s.

Couldn’t sleep much last night. Girlfriend is still sleeping. Snuck downstairs to place a few sports bets because I’m a degenerate like that. Then going to do the coupon run.

Plan is in about an hour to get breakfast with her around 10, then head to the Northern Outlets.

 

Tried to redeem the ACG and LVA matchplay at Fremont and the girl only let me use one. This sucks!

 

Great report. Hope you enjoy your trip! Take the GF to the shops at Crystals (fun to window shop) and Fashion Show Mall. I like it better than Miracle Mile.

Leave that player's card in the machine when you forget it! The Player's Club will make you as many new ones as you want, and maybe the next person to use that machine will space out and play with your card!

If you want to play VP correctly while also slowing your rate of play, consider investing $10 and downloading the Winpoker app onto your phone. It has most of the games and will let you quickly enter your dealt hand and show you the correct hold. My wife uses it constantly, and she typically does better than I do. I know strategies pretty well, but drink and get impatient in my play. Knowledge is power. Good luck and have fun!

Breakfast was meh at Seagull 1999 or whatever it’s called at El Cortez. Cheap breakfast but I guess you get what you pay for.

We are shopping now at the Outlets. Grandpa Lyft driver I think asked my girlfriend out while we were on our way. He said he’s never been to Canada but would go to hang out with her. Haha what a guy. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take tho I guess.

My girlfriend and I dropped like $200 at lululemon. Stuff is a lot cheaper here then in Canada. The discount racks here are a lot bigger then up North and even with the conversion, it’s cheaper. We both love to get our Bikram Yoga on in Ottawa; so got a lot of tank tops, shorts, and pants.

Now she’s at Kate Spade. I think aliens have abducted her. She’s been there for like an hour while I sit out here. There really should be slot machines or VP for people waiting while their significant others shop.
