    Ok everyone, Happy 2019....

Since I hit one of my locals last night for the first of my 2019 sessions, lets report on those amazing and memorable (in a good way) rolls/sessions for 2019!

Hit one of my locals last night hoping for a mid-week $5 Craps game.....no luck as the casino has a drawing/promotion every Thursday in January..lol

So I bought in at a $10 table with $150.00. First 3 shooters were garbage, few numbers and quick 7 outs.

Then an old-timer/regular rolled for 30 minutes, several points and for the first time in about a year, I was able to collect on him hitting the ATS bonus. He needed the 2 and 12 per normal to hit it.....rolled the 2, followed by an 8 and then came the 12....the table erupted. He then made his current point before "7 out" shortly after his next point. Then the next two shooters including me 7'd out almost immediately so I knew it was time to take the nice profits and cash out. Tripled my money thanks to only 1 good shooter, but sometimes that is all it takes! Good start to the year!

It only takes one shooter. It's lasting through all the bad shoots until the one good shot arrives.

Well my best session in about 6 months happened yesterday morning at one of my locals....Rivers Casino outside Chicago, IL

After a slow first hour (due to Illinois law, all Casino's must close 2 hours, so Rivers is always closed from 7-9am each morning) including me shooting like garbage twice.....it happened and I did not even get in on the big wins....

Back to back shooters hit the "All Bonus".....like a fool I was only on the "All Tall" for $5 so I still got a decent payout when hit ($175.00) but nowhere near the guys who got the "All".

Both shooters also hit a bunch of numbers and repeat points which is where I cleaned up. The last 90 minutes is what we pray for as Craps players...lots of money leaving the table (even at a $5 table)!

$5 table, played 3 hours, bought in for $200.00, cashed out for $700.00.....not bad for my first Sunday session of 2019!!!

Sadly it's been quite a while since I was on a table for a really hot shooter. I guess I need to play more Craps!

Congrats on that hot roll. I always bet "All, Tall and Small" because I fear I will miss the "big one."

Just completed my first full session for 2019. Went to Tunica for a short overnight trip and was able to buy into a $5 table. Got on the table around 10pm and found out they usually close the table around 2am (first I heard of this from a casino that was not a riverboat, and definitely first I’ve witnessed from a few trips in Tunica). I prefer to play late at night so I can throw more often.

Bought in for $300 and was treading water on the 8 players at the table. I was down about half when they announced they would be closing the table early. There were two shooters before me so was hoping to get the dice again. Both those shooters hit a few numbers but was nothing to get excited over.

Then I get the dice, and place the inside numbers for 2 units each after setting a point 5. I normally play conservative so I can play at the table for awhile, but since time was running down I decided to up my game. I proceeded to hit 6s and 8s until I have both numbers pressed to $90 and $60 respectively. Also had the 9 at $60 while having a few units of odds on the 5 as well.

As the numbers keep flying, chips are being pushed all around the table. I look at my bets and was starting to overthink what I had one the table, so brought down my bets some to put a few more dollars in the rack. After that move i had around $120 on the table and immediately 7’d out. Great timing!

There was time for one more shooter after me and I played more conservatively but did get my 9 pressed up to $60 again while only 2 units on the 6 and 8. Shooter 7’d out and left about $100 in the table.

Colored up for double my buy-in. Will take that session any day I can!

Sadly only on one of them and only on the "tall", the shooter is the one who cleaned up!

I know, I know.....well I am the same guy who would have a $100-$150.00 bankroll per session. I upped it to $300.00 for $5/10 tables and I should be less "Scared"...to do $5 across on the ATS

This is under the....."This game drives me nuts" category.....

Last month at Rivers Casino outside Chicago, ice cold $5 table....points made and numbers thrown were a sad minimum to start the day.

Then out of the blue a random dice thrower comes up and hits a 5 point fire with plenty of 6's and 8's thrown in for good measure. He hits a total of 7 points.

Next two shooters both quick 7-outs. Walk away up a couple hundred thanks to 1 hot shooter out of 10...............

Craps certainly is a love/hate relationship. Some trips you get lucky and there are some great shooters and some trips nobody can shoot for shit.

This past trip to Vegas I rolled pretty well, considering my past trips. But it was because of two hot shooters on 3 separate sessions that enabled me to walk away this time with a sizable profit.

Best session was this shooter that hit the 8 so many times (among other numbers) that my $6 placed 8 was pressed to $150 and raking in the chips. When he finally 7-out I hugged him and gave him 2 green chips.

I think I went $6, then $12, then $24 then $30...collected twice then $60...twice again, then $90...twice again, then $120....at least twice (by this time I'm not sure, lol!) then final $150 which I think I collected 3 times before he sevened out.

He was also throwing all kinds of numbers, I had the 4 and 10 at $75 each and the 9 was at $50. The six was pressed to $60 (which strangely didn't show as much as the eight). The point was 5.

January 15th at the Wildhorse in Pendleton, Oregon, my wife and I stayed the night for our 15th anniversary. After check out we played a little more in the casino and were close to even so I put $100 down on $5 craps as a last game before taking off. I'd been spinning my wheels on bj and spanish 21 for so long I was tired and ready to go. After two weak turns and fast 7-outs, I got the dice and proceeded to roll for nearly an hour. I don't know how many rolls and as the run continued the time between rolls started getting long because of all the payouts and new bets. I only got three points but after it was over a guy betting huge place bets told me I hit the 6 fifteen times. I had come bets with max odds (5x across the board) on everything and started doing hard ways which I hit several times. In hindsight I should have upped the come bets so I could double the odds on them, but I never did. I colored just under 1K, and there were a few guys who had at least 4 or 5 thousand in their racks. I've never felt more popular in my life, lol!

A few observations: Three or four of the guys who'd been throwing down big pulled back quite a bit (at first) and I heard one of them criticize my rolling style, which is simply grabbing the damn dice and tossing them down the table. When I asked how I should do it, he said I needed to learn how to set the dice properly before rolling and have a controlled throw to avoid going out too fast. I've never believed in dice setting, and even though I don't play craps often, I'm no beginner at it, but I didn't argue with the guy and he never mentioned it again. Before long he was high fiving like everyone else! The other thing to mention, I was one of the only players betting the come with odds. Place bets and a lot of center and field prop bets were the main attraction at that table, featuring a lot of parlaying and pressing winnings, then taking down the place bets after a while and starting over when I didn't 7-out. I was limited on how much I could press (5X) but I could have easily upped the come bet to $10 or $15 and pressed the odds bets I wanted more $ on the table. I love getting paid at even odds levels, so that's my strategy, but I'm definitely in the minority at an Eastern Oregon Indian casino. Fun times though, wished it happened more often!
