    Not in total darkness.
They might try to slip me the $100,000 in fifties. :nono:

I would do it. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be hard, but I really think I could. I'd sleep a lot. When awake, I'd think about how I was going to spend the money when I got out.

Who cares if I came out crazy? I'm already crazy.

Fun thread OP! This is definitely one of those "depends on where you are" questions.

Like most of the populace, we do have to watch our finances. We're comfortable (gratefully), but do live within a budget.

100k is a TON for us, but not enough for me to try this right now.

In a different situation, if I was a single parent in a hard, cruddy job, and scared about finances 24/7 (or a single guy, trapped in a hellish field, like the old-school coal miners, etc.), I'd absolutely do my damnedest to try to do it.

Birds of a feather flock together, and if these guys are quipping about 100k "challenge" bets...neither probably needs it...it's just for sport.

For sport? I probably wouldn't try it. (Unless that person told me I couldn't....then my Polish/Scottish stubborn streak might kick in.)

But if I was in a more unfortunate state of life? I'd absolutely try it.

Now, "Naked and Afraid" in the wild for 21 days straight, no food, water shelter or clothes?

    Nope.

But this I'd try, depending on where I was in life.

An easy $100K is always tempting, but I could not do it, perhaps I would have in younger days. Today I would miss too much walks during the day, walks to the refrigerator, walks to the TV or the stereo, so much I could go crazy for real.
Love the idea, though, it reminds me of what ascetic saints used to do, so extreme, at the same time so Vegas, a bet for money, not some sacrifice for salvation. Love it. But I will just read about it.

Timspeed made a good point—if you’re blind, that’s the way things are all the time. It can definitely be done.

The guy making the bet should turn 2 rats loose just to make it interesting.

Now, now! We both know those rats would suffer starvation. Unless....say, one were to release a snake to remove the rats. Being humane
and all that. I think that'd be a hard $100K to earn and I suspect there would be considerable banging on the door. :wink2:

And then a mongoose to go after the snake.

Because the last thing we want to see is some poor dumb animal suffering. The mutton head human who agreed to this wager, well, **** him, he's on his own. :evillaugh:
