She was just nervous about dealing with it...so she wanted me to do it!

    Sunday, 1/6

Everyone was moving a bit slower with the late night...except me...I was on the floor of the casino by 5:30 a.m. and played Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Bacarrat, and Craps for about four hours.

A group went on another strip walk, ending up with another stop at Taco Bell. A couple of others opted to sleep...

We watched a little football and I played a little video poker at Playbar. Bruce is a great bartender.

My wife and I then went to Ri Ra on his recommendation...it was spot on! The fish and chips were great and we enjoyed a couple of beers.

    Time for a little sleep...

Dinner Sunday night was at 9 p.m. at Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen. We were seated at a table near the kitchen, which was fun but loud. We started with a few appetizers. The service was uneven at this point--things came out at different times. The appetizers were tasty. I had the Tuna Tartare and my wife had the Golden Beet Salad. The main course was served with two bottles of 2014 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon. Several had the signature Beef Wellington, a couple had the New York Strip, one had the Filet Mignon and one had the meatball appetizer as a main course. The plates were all nicely prepared and not a single issue...all were very good! The potato puree side was wonderful.

Desserts were provided to the birthday folks--sticky toffee pudding. All of the desserts were great!

The dinner was a great time and it was the first time several of the kids had eaten at a restaurant of that caliber. "That was the best...I ever had" was said more than once!

The bill came out to $1003, making it my first four-figure meal. it was under budget because I anticipated more people eating an appetizer and an entree.

We settled in back at Luxor for hours of gambling at slots, craps, blackjack, and roulette. Three of us played craps together and each of us turned $200 into between $500-$980 over three or four hours. I was rated at $125/bet for that time. I was pressing bets and had a couple of times it could have gotten a lot better and no long periods of it going downhill. When it took a little turn for the worse late in the evening, about 2 a.m., we colored up and some played on while some (me!) called it a night.

We ended the night with about $12,000 in slot coin-in and 163,019 tier credits. Overall, we gave back some of the profit back but we will definitely leave with a good portion of our original bankroll at the very least, which is a good outcome!

    Monday, 1/8

Today was set up for two different day time events--a Ladies Spa Day @ Aria and a Gambling Trip for the Gentlemen.

The ladies had five hours in a spa suite complete with two treatments--all had a massage and three of them had body wraps while my wife picked a facial for her second service. They enjoyed pizza and champagne along with some fruit while they were pampered. They all loved it!

The four gents headed downtown after I got the ladies all dropped off (I had a rental van) at Aria. We headed first to Golden Gate, where we played craps, slots, UTH, and Blackjack. Everyone was glad to see 3:2 BJ! After the gate, we headed to the D. We were using coupons from the ACG plus I had a mailer with some stuff to use in it. We played the same games, less UTH and plus roulette, there. Everyone grabbed a bite at McDonalds at some point. Then we headed to the Fremont foe the match play. Only stayed a minute; I just am not a fan of that casino for some reason.

The final stop was Plaza. I ended up having $25 match play in addition to the $10 match play from the ACG. The rest had the ACG plus $10 new member match play. We headed to the craps table and proceeded to turn $200 buy-ins into amounts between $350 and $675 over an hour or so. I won the most, but I also pressed my bets the hardest! We picked up three bottles of champagne at the ABC Store and then headed back to meet for dinner and the College Football Championship at Public House.

Public House was ready for us; our table was set when we arrived and they took good care of us. We enjoyed a great meal, good conversation, and watching football. It didn't end up like I thought it would but I was happy (even though I lost $25) with the outcome. I like Clemson more than Alabama; I just thought that Alabama would win.

I did talk to a host at this point after going to the MLife desk. The desk took the points and Express Comps that totaled around $400 between the four of us with cards. They also called a host for me; she took another $800 off the bill and said that I could call later in the week to see if she could do anything more based on play after that point.

The gambling evening was the usual combination of slots, craps, roulette, and crapjack. I don't play crapjack. This was not as good of an evening, so the last two nights have taken us from ahead to about $600 behind. I did play an hour or so of high limit slots and bet up to $45 a spin. I ended up about $100 down for that part of the night.

    Tuesday. 1/8--Getaway Day

I was up early and went down to try out craps one last time. I bet the "do" side while a guy shot from the don't...it was just the two of us. i switched to the don't and got close to even, but I switched back to the other side. never should have done that. $200 went down quickly after that...and I am out!

My gambling itch has been thoroughly scratched:...

Tier Credits: 373,074 (we started with about 35,000 when we arrived)
    Total Estimated Win/(Loss)
    Coin Out: $10,890.99
    Jackpot $2,234.50
    Coin In: $13,424.12
    Slot Loss: ($298.63)
    Table Loss: ($549.00)
    Total: ($847.63)

All of our Mlife play was at Luxor.

Our total MLife coin-in for last year was $9.072.97.

Most of our bankroll intact, I handed out a few hundreds to the kids going in various directions (the younger 5 are still in school, so they have little money) and we checked out, loaded up the limos, and headed to the airport one tired group.

Everyone had a great time and talked about "next time"...

What a great experience you had with your entire family. I hope the boyfriends/girlfriends of your kids appreciated your generosity!

Congrats on some good wins, and more importantly, lots of fun!

An unusual picture for us...not our bankroll; but the money we brought home!

My wife's Christmas present arrived on Wednesday, which made her very happy for the day after we returned from Vegas!

Am I the only one who was doing that math? :)

    (Joking)

That said, sounds like a great trip!

Two eggs fertilized at different times?

    Hell, I don't know...

We are a "blended family" that does not believe in the use of the word "step" unless absolutely necessary... :)

Nope, realized that, thus the “joking”. I just thought it was funny as my first instinct was to do the math :)

    I knew you were joking!

The math does seem strange...we get some looks when we introduce them and birthdays are part of the introduction...

It's like the crazy girls statues only with more clothes. Great pic and the photo tour idea sounds great.

Great report! Did you rent a 15 passenger van? If so, where from? We will have about 12 staying together for Super Bowl...may need to consider this.

It was either 12 or 15...I picked it up at Luxor's Avis counter but I used Costco to do the rental. they are usually about 25% off. MLife also offers a discount, but Costco worked better for me.

I called the host I spoke to Monday at Luxor again today (she had asked me to call her). She was able to take another $315 off based on one of the others who played. We ended up with about $1500 comped off overall.

The host told me to give her a call directly when I want to head out again...

    Comps:

    Us (Wife & I) = $800 primary comps
$50+ Express comps & converter points

Potential SIL = $315 primary comps
    $300+ Express comps plus points

Sons—the other $50-$100 from Express comps plus converted points

Potential SIL had no idea about comps...I will explain more to him, but he was happy his comps helped...
