Here's a sociological perspective: would the people on VMB do this? I doubt it, in general. It's because we clearly have enough discretionary money to run around Vegas, which means we make pretty good cash. So I think a lot of people on this site would be like, "eh, take out federal and state taxes (if applicable), leaves me with...an amount I already have and then some."

But on other sites around the SewageQuagmireHumanToilet we call the internet, I bet you'd get a lot of yes answers from people who think a hundred grand is a candy bar.

Its a bet, not a payment.

I would not put up 100k to do it for the chance to win 100k.

If someone just offered me the money to do it, there'd be a number where I'd try but its likely north of 100k.

It would be tough but I go weeks at a time without talking to people now so that part would be easy. Not so sure about the pitch black or the living in a bathroom thing. Seems rather uncomfortable.

Do you just eat your meals on the toilet? What about things like toilet paper, how does that get changed, is there a supply of it right there? Same with soap. Thats a whole days worth of workout right there just finding them.

Just seems unfeasible. Plus what happens when they deliver the food. Is there light that comes in or do they deliver it in pitch blackness?

Also the slipperiness factor? Take a shower and the floor is slippery and its that dark, that is a recipe for injury. What about the bedding? Does that get all wet and you just sleep in it or is this some sort of giant bathroom with a bedroom in it?

Must be overthinking it but seems unbelievable to me.

    Wash yourself with a rag.

The hardest part of the described challenge is having no sense of time passing. If they mixed up both time and frequency of food, you'd only have a rough sense of your progress. They could make it even worse by having the isolated person push a button to request food

It would be intersting to find out how he felt about the passing time. I imgaine that at first the time goes slow, but does it speed up as you loose that contact with how you determine time like sleep paterns and your normal daily routine.

The first guy had it easy, easy enough so that the other side of the bet bought him out early (according to the internet) to save money.

This new one, no way anyone can do it, not even a poker player. Of course, it could be a fabrication.

Yeah. Hey, I got a brilliant idea! Let's lock Dean in the bathroom for a month and see what he's like when he comes out!
Okie Dokie...if you thought pre-isolation Dean was a tad unstable, having frightened the neighbors from time to time, you're gonna love post-isolation Dean. :wink2:

So just imagine a blind person who doesn’t leave the house for a month...same thing.
I could easily do it..learn Braille and take a couple Braille books.
You’d just have to know where the toilet is and the shower...
    Maybe I’m insane though?
