Interesting. But given the casino, this might be a smart play.

It depends on how many high limit slot players prefer to play in an isolated place.

A few other casinos on the strip don't have dedicated high limit areas either. The one that really springs to mind is the Linq. Does Circus Circus have one? If it does, I don't think I've noticed.

They (Circus Circus) had one in 2016 when we walked through but it may be gone by now.

So funny... I'm reading this thread as I'm sitting in a Starbucks right next to the Stratosphere :)

It is enclosed? I've never noticed an enclosed section at least. I know "high limit" VP is just one carousel and a few other units in the main VP section.

Linq has $100 games along the back corner wall (video poker, and $100 WOF)

I would expect that the Stratosphere really didn't have all that many people playing High Limit Slots since it isn't exactly the spot for high rollers on the Strip. Coffee with a high markup would probably make more profits for the place.

High limit slots = 90% payback = about 10% markup. Starbucks coffee = 400% markup. Easy peasy :)

That’s such a terrible space, feels like you’re in the corner of a pub.

The room where I had both of my 4 figure wins!

Guess I’ll just have a 4-shot espresso instead next time!!

Looking at the Stratosphere Facebook page, seems another big announcement is coming on Sunday (hopefully including a new HL room!)

Linq has a high limit area...it's tiny with just a sign overhead but it's there. It's the back corner near the Hash A Go Go escalator

Wondering if it will be the announcement of the "new and improved (likely not)" Players Card program. They had said a new program/card was coming in "early 2019". On the other hand, none of their other properties that I checked are talking about an upcoming announcement.

Linq's target market is 30 year olds who aren't playing high limit games, it makes sense that they aren't wasting floor space on it.

Yeah I discovered it in accident after putting 100 in a machine and the waitress came over and told me that it was the high limit area. I guess I didn't look fancy enough.. Either way, I won 500 on that slot. I also hit on the $5 denom when of Fortune. I wish it was a bigger casino. I like the linq
