What’s your favorite casino to play Pai Gow poker in? I love an energetic and fun table. I learned to play at the Bellagio (my usual favorite casino) but their PGP players are usually grumpy and unpleasant. Stumbled upon the game at the Flamingo and had a pretty great time but I think that was because I hit FOUR straight flushes in about 3.5 hours. (What are the chances?!?)

    Any other good suggestions? Thanks!

Flamingo usually has the most tables/fun dealers. Also the drink service there can be great (sometimes not though lol). Linq is great, but only has 1 table going all the time by the old sports book, and sometimes a 2nd table down by the check in bank. Bally's always has 2 tables with good dealers, but it's not the most energetic area. Paris has great tables and dealers, but normally the limits are a little higher on weekends. Drink service is great in Paris. Harrah's has good dealers, but it is in a low ceiling area off the craps tables, so i dont really like to play there.

Cromwell has great dealers, pt bosses, and drink service. It normally is $10-15 limit, so this is my go to spot to play.

I like Paris for good dealers, great drink service, and usually a fun group playing. I used to like Sunset Station before they decided to deal Face Up Pai Gow.

My favorite by far is Harrahs. They have 5 tables, at least one is always $10. The one on end by bar is open early morning. Great place to get a coffee and get started. I also like their dealers and pit personel

My favorite place is Palace Station, also not the ridiculous 5 dollar side bet that is required at cet for the progressive.

South Point or Sam's Town, because they generally have at least one $5 table with $1 Fortune and Progressive bet minimums.

I discovered Pai Gow Poker a few years ago when I Googled "best table game to lose money slowly while getting drunk." And it's true! Problem is, that's pretty much what I always do. I've never had much luck at it, so I play the lowest limit possible.

That's a nice run for 3.5 hours! If I'm lucky I'll get ONE straight flush in 4+ hours of play. On my last trip in November I got in less Pai Gow play than usual. I usually play most of my Pai Gow at Aliante; typically two mornings per trip. But on the first morning they told us after a half hour that they were closing down the Pai Gow table to do an "upgrade" to the software. This was at about 7AM. When I left at noon they still had Pai Gow closed. I asked the head of table games if I should call before I bothered to come back the next day & he took my number & said he'd call me when they were done. That turned out to be after 6PM that night. So they had them shut down all day.

I had been playing Ultimate Texas Hold'em that morning after they closed the table & was getting killed. The next morning I returned at 6AM with a friend who had flown in the previous evening and we played until they opened the buffet at 8. The pit boss knew that 2 of us were coming back after we ate but they closed down Pai Gow while we were eating.. At the two open Blackjack tables they had only a total of 1 player so I asked him to reopen Pai Gow. And he did after a few minutes. I got diddly that session, but my friend at least got 4-o-a-k on one hand for a nice win and he cashed out about $125 ahead later that morning.

Normally, Aliante is my favorite place to play Pai Gow and I typically play there from about 6AM-noon the two mornings of my trips (midweek days). Most times the Pai Gow table will be still be open at 6AM. If not, in most cases the pit boss will close down another table and open it for me if there are other tables that are empty.

We played at Green Valley Ranch and they had a Tiger nine Pai Gow Poker, which was nice to play, no fooling around with the commission. Good dealers.

Red Rock seemed to have a lot of side bets you could make. I try not to get too carny with my table games, but in the case of pai gow poker, it makes the game a bit more interesting, at least for me.

As for the strip, late night at the Mirage had a fun table going. Dealers were chatty and not grumpy at all.

As for my favorite place, it's usually wherever has the lowest minimums!

I first played Pai Gow poker at the Bellagio as well, so I consider it my home Pai Gow resort. While I love the great drink service and piano music from the Baccarat Bar, I could not agree more with you on the surly attitude of the players! (Note - I was just there yesterday and the Pai Gow pit is boarded up for remodels). Played for the first time at Cosmo this week; that casino has an overall fun vibe and dealers and players were friendly and lively. Minimums were $25 at all times, they offer the standard fortune bonus plus dragon hand.

My local casino offers a similar version in which a dealer Queen high results in an automatic push in lieu of a commission. I am always amazed at how many Q high Pai gows the dealer seems to get in that game!!

Late night Pai Gow at the Cromwell people watching all the clubbers and hookers going to Drais is always a good time. Dealers and pit crew are all personable and they have Makers Mark on the floor.

I enjoy Aria and Mandalay Bay for PGP; great dealers at both places. Cosmo usually only has one table during the day and it is always full...so I don’t play there often. Cromwell is also a great place to play. My 2 cents.

I do have to say last time at Cromwell, even though they kicked my butt, I had some of the most enjoyable dealers I have ever played with.

I would say Paris right behind Gustavs/Cashier. Usually friendly folks, most of the dealers are cool. And, if you are there at the right time there is a smoking hot milfy pitboss there.

Palace Station had the Q-high pushers last June, Golden Nugget went Tiger-9 when I was there last spring.

What is the usual minimum at Bally's and/or Paris?

Last time i was in bally's (weekend in September) it was $25, even in the morning. Other trips it's normally one table of $15 the other $25. Paris is normally $25, but sometimes goes to $15 midweek.

I stay at Bally's, but most of my PG play is at Cromwell ($10 or $15 tables). Great drink service, great dealers, and a short walk from Bally's.

Sometimes minimum is dependent on what is going on like Super Bowl or other big weekend. This is why I play most of my Pai Gow at Harrahs. Seems they always have some $15 tables and it seems most the time at least one $10 table.

Since the MGM family has went to face up, I don’t play at their properties at all.

I didn’t know that, thought in September at Park MGM it was face up but I must have been thinking of different property. I don’t want to play anywhere that says a dealers ace high Pai Gow is a push. Last time I played in Columbus, bet dealers got around 5-6 per hour. Yes playing face up saved me a couple times but not as many times that it cost me. Depending on what denomination I’m playing, figure it cost me 150-200 per hour
