It is real dice. The table is an electric display and every player gets their own 'station' to bet at. I am not sure Craps without real dice is something people would play. I don't know that I have every seen it.

Agreed. I certainly understand the house's motivation; what I don't get is the increasing attraction of push-button gaming.

A generational change. I suppose decades from now people will Skype each other about a time when their grandfathers had to go to a city far away to throw little cubes with Neanderthals.

It's similar to real craps in that you roll real dice and the roll rotates around the table in the same way. When you roll the dice the dealer enters the numbers into a pad by his/her position and it lights up the table for all the winning bets.

Five if you count the box person that most casinos have as dedicated to one game.

If I'm playing I would say:
"real" traditional craps > This new proposed idea > bubble craps > virtual dice

.... I would assume most casinos will have three different versions. "Real craps" with higher mins, the new style for people who still like to throw the dice but should offer the ability for lower mins / live action on off-hours, and a bubble machine for people who just want really cheap fun.

I get bummed on a weekend when my options are a $25 "real" table and a $2 bubble option.... it would be nice to have a $5-10 "kinda real" table as an option.

The very thing they're trying to cut is one of the more entertaining aspects of gambling one will find at any casino - and that's the crew...interacting with them, their sarcasm & banter, the almost-"narration" of the game as it rolls along... a good crew can make a huge difference in the "fun" factor!
But the bean-counters aren't the only ones who seem to forget such things - cranky & non-personable crew-members may also need a reminder every now & then!

I would imagine that this type of craps game will be a hit with millennials; they enjoy electronic gaming devices. I will stick to real craps; enjoy the crew banter, the felt, etc.

The people that are becoming young adults today are so engrossed and experienced with video games and such that this will be very popular with them I would bet. The are not in to personal interaction with dealers and I would bet these become very popular as the gambling public transitions from our generations to the younger snowflake generations.

And, they don't have to have anyone trained than can do stuff like "math" or figure out what payoffs should be when someone bets on the various numbers and bets. That girl probably can't count to 10 without a calculator or computer. I won't play it, but it, or some variation of it, will stay is my opinion.

I think this is unfair. I bet if there was an option to chat through a text feature with a virtual dealer, they would be all over it.

But who's going to screw me out of my correct table rating?

Don't like this new version, AT ALL.

I go to Vegas in order to have less screen time, not more of it.

I will truly be done with casino gambling if this stuff catches on and all tables go electronic.

It's funny that casinos keep thinking that tourist gamblers want more technology when in reality they want action and experiences.

I'm 36, I'm not some old fogey. I want to play with physical cheques, interact with dealers, and shoot the shit with interesting people at the table.

I don't go to Vegas to work on an advanced case of tech neck.

I am with you. The last two vacations I have taken to Vegas, I left my cell phone in the room safe almost every day I went out and had a great time. It is so nice to be untethered from the phone for 7-8 hours. Not sure I will do it the next time as I want to take pictures and using the phone is actually the most convenient way to do it. But we will see.

Not that it's an attractive option, but the table itself doesn't need to be electronic. The terminals could be bolted onto a regular felt-covered craps table and achieve the same gaming. The table, in essence, is just a surface on which to roll the dice. The players' bets don't need to be displayed on the table. The dealer requirement would still be only one dealer required.

I would guess the only reason for it to be electronic is to simulate actual table action and bet placement for others to see. Would really, really be dull if you could not see other peoples bets and action on the table. I think you have to have the electronic table for this to be any interest to most craps players.

One thing I like about Bubble craps is that no one sees what you are betting so I can bet the Don't without feeling like a skunk at a picnic. Looks like this version lights up wins so will people see what each player is betting?

The other thing I like about Bubble Craps is no dealer to tip. This version has a dealer. I wonder if it has a "two-way" mode like "$5-$1 hard six, two way." If you cannot/do not make bets for the dealer, it will drastically drop tokes for being a craps dealer.

Not true; casinos pay dealers pesos; WE the customer must pay them.
These machines won’t catch on TOO fast because the licensing will be too expensive...why do you think the Fire Bet went away?
Also, with a machine, you can’t be UNDERPAID, or “forget” to pickup a winner and then it becomes a loser.
The GAMING companies want to replace dealers for sure...but unless it’s a slot or video poker, the casinos are in no hurry.

With Aruze's "Shoot To Win" bubble craps, winning gets a cheering sound at the terminal. Other players will hear Don't wins on a seven-out. I've had a player ask if I'm "betting against them" when my terminal put out a cheering sound on a seven-out.
A modification I would suggest to Aruze for their electronic craps table, is a "Hide My Bets" option on the terminal. The bets would be shown on the terminal but not on the table
