I too have arrived at the Peppermill to be told it was closed, they basically said we have to clean sometime.

They do actually post on their Facebook page when they are closing for cleaning so can check there next time. Enjoy the rest of your trip

But they only gave 2.5 hour notice this time. And close for 10.5 hours to clean? Seems lengthy.

At least that probably means their kitchen is clean I suppose...

Woke up far too early this morning to go meet up with some VMBers at Mon Ami Gabi. It was a pleasure to meet @Sonya @annbrown57 and @texas_aggie_girl_93 and have a Vegas gabfest over delicious food. I'm glad all of our trips aligned and we were able to get together! I also hope we can do it again in the near future.

I was totally peer pressured into this Bloody Mary and it was lovely.

    Great group of gals!

From there we all parted ways and we headed back up to our room to relax for a couple of hours before going over to Bellagio for our Afternoon Tea reservation.
I have never had High Tea but I had seen it online and in trip reports so I kind of knew what to expect. I never used to like tea until I quit caffeine due to anxiety reasons about a year ago and had discovered that I really missed having something warm to drink in the mornings. I researched tea and found that Rooibos tea was not only caffeine free, but promoted relaxation and was naturally sweet. It became my go to morning drink. Ever since then I had looked forward to doing the afternoon tea thing but we hadn't been able to fit it in on previous trips. We almost weren't able to this time due to my laziness in making reservations, but we managed to get in today.
I have to say I was really impressed with the presentation and quality. I am allergic to mustard (I know, random!) so I appreciated our server going out of her way to make sure I didn't eat a certain sandwich we ordered because it contained it. It was a very relaxing experience and I'm very glad we did it. Plus we have some very tasty scones to eat on the drive home tomorrow. :feedme::feedme:

Bellagio tea is my favorite. I have tried others and they don't compare.

The tea at Bellagio is something we have on our list for next trip. We did the tea at Madarin Oriental (now Waldorf Astoria), which was amazing. You should try it next time since youre into teas now. The view of the strip and quality of their snacks and teas was awesome! I do like that Petrosian uses tealeaves.com tea, its a very high quality tea, we buy it all the time.

Thanks for the great report! Really enjoyed it!

Going to write a proper wrap up now that we just got home, but first I'm going to post the pics I took of the Conservatory in the daytime before we had tea on Friday.
Also, since I am now home in the sticks where the internet connection is crap, I will have to post these in batches. :grrr:

Okay, so Friday after tea, we came back up to the room and didn't do a whole helluva lot. My goal was to be in bed early since we were planning on being on the road out of town by nine at the latest the next morning.
HOWEVER, I was dealt some news that didn't sit well with me about a situation back home so I kind of hit the cocktails a little harder than I wanted to.
Rob went downstairs to get our dinner from Earl of Sandwich and about an hour or so later I asked if he wanted to head back down again. We did, and found the Sharknado machine I had won at earlier in the trip so we sat down and won some decent wins (for us) and the cocktail waitress kept coming back.
I know that we came back up to the room and I had a brief bath, but I do not remember eating or going to bed. So much for keeping my last night in Vegas low key. :drunk::drooling:
This morning Rob woke me far earlier than I would have wanted and we headed out. We were on the road a bit before nine and the traffic was pretty light the entire way home. We stopped off for about four hours in Tehachapi to visit with friends and still managed to make it home by ten.
I already posted pics of it, but I have to mention the new Chevron station they have built in Jean, NV. It is FREAKING HUGE!!! We walked into the place and just sort of stared around-slack jawed at all the stuff. It was almost as fun as Vegas, but not quite. I recommend checking it out if your get the chance. There were giant candy sections and jerky sections and ...well, you should really check it out for yourselves. If you have a vehicle and means to travel, I recommend it.
Overall it was a really good trip. We didn't gamble nearly as much as we used to and I'm okay with that.
We decided we didn't need to stay at Bellagio again. It was nice, but not Full Price nice. Rob kind of nailed it on the head when he said: "It's like a Four Queens room with a really UPGRADED bathroom.
We like the layout of the Augustus room at Caesars but I think we want to try to stay at Bally's next year. We have never stayed there and we love the casino so it makes sense. I figure we can get a pretty nice room there for what we were paying at Caesars. :goofy:
Overall it was a really good trip. We had the perfect amount of things to do while having enough relaxation time. We will probably not do the three hotel thing again. It's just a bit too much. The only reason we did it this year was getting the MyVegas Bellagio comp.

Best part about being home is that my dogs are with us again and they are so happy!!!!
I would have taken a pic but they haven't sat still for five seconds and now that my hubs went to bed they are all up under the covers with him.

I might add some more pictures to this trip report tomorrow morning when I have access to Rob's pics.
Thanks to everyone for following along, I loved reporting it.
