Mrs Brew and I own 3 child care centers. You would be surprised what songs I hum or worse when I work around house. IIRC in a previous thread that was similar my response then was “return to Pooh corner” from Kenny Loggins

You beat me to it @MikeOPensacola !!
After he died I must have played Hallelujah 50 times - that song is always in the back of my head now.

Well I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
    Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
    The baffled king composing Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah
    Hallelujah

I only got familiar with his music and writings about ten years, or so, ago. He was a renaissance man in every respect and I really wish I could have seen him play live at least once.

BTW @Geogran, it’s grrrrreat so see you have a countdown timer and a trip in the works!!

    :peace:

I became a fan in the 70s, with "Songs of Leonard Cohen" and "Songs of Love & Hate"...
"Suzanne" from the former & "Dress Rehearsal Rag" from the latter are such incredibly haunting songs...

That song was banned by a Cleveland radio station as being "too suggestive".

They are the true label of "The Bubblegum Sound" !
I never thought they were "real" ?.......just a "face" to a producer / songwriter / record co.'s idea.
They were actually a "band" ?....from NJ ?
I can't remember the other songs ( at this moment ) but they had a string of hits
Ed Sullivan Show - why not ?
    >
    Other songs........"Indian Giver"......?
" Indian Giver...Indian Giver...Took back the love that you gave to me."
    **** something like that ?

What I recall ,they were a real band from Linden NJ. 123 Red Light was their first hit. Joe why I remember any of this is beyond me. There was also a local band that had a couple of hits from my area called the Critters. Remenber The Younger Girl and Mr. Dyingly Sad? If you remember this seek professional help because I know I must need it.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Man it doesn't show signs of stoppin'
And I brought some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

    When we finally kiss good-night
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm

And the fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, and snow
