Just sent the link to my barber

Sounds like a great idea. Not sure it was great to get rid of a regular bar. And how many people get haircuts in LV?!? I'd think most would get a haircut before they go on vacation. But the concept sounds cool.

Yea, I'm confused by the one. Also, what was wrong with bond. Feels like a waste of 1.8 million to me.

It does sound quite SoCal, but.....as someone who likes getting haircuts/styles in Vegas, this could be fun! Little bit of an odd location, but oh well!

I talked to my Cosmo host yesterday about this. She said they expect it to be a lot like Clique. So whatever the press release may say, expect a trendy bar with some different amenities

A hipster barbershop gives out shots of bourbon while you're waiting. That makes sense to me. But replacing a bar in a casino with a barbershop bar makes no sense to me.

Well there goes that. Time to find somewhere else to have a few drinks and sit for a few.

Can you elaborate on this? I love my barber but is there a reason I should be getting a haircut in LV ?

I'm a girl, but I'm lazy with getting haircuts. More often than not, I find my haircuts (or things like highlights, etc) coiencide with a trip to Vegas. The 2 salons I've been to out there, using Groupon, were better than cuts I've had in San Diego - but it might just be personal preference. I think for the price and service of the places I've been to, taking time to get a haircut in Vegas is worth it!

I'm betting they'll charge $50 for a cut, and the booze won't be comped. What a goofy thing! I really don't want a crowd of curious Vegas onlookers watch as the barber trims my nose hairs.

Vegas area has many talented hair/makeup artists.

    For Women?
Especially for women with Loonnngggg hair?
Hair is precious ... (I spend a lot of money on my hair!)
    Cut, Color, Highlights, treatments.
It can take a really, really long time to grow out damage, bad color or a bad cut.
Getting my hair cut or colored with a stranger in Vegas that doesn't know me or my hair? NOPE.
Getting a blowout? Absolutely. Nearly every trip. I love DryBar!

    For Men?
    Short Hair (usually)
A month (maybe 2) to correct a wrong.
Clean lines are good - the haircuts aren't usually complicated.
Most guys I know aren't getting color/highlights/straightening treatments.
I can see the straight razor shaves being popular in Vegas.

I have never seen any Groupons for anything in Cosmopilitan.

It would most likely have an exclusive/ moody dark- wood paneled library feel.
I doubt anything would be visible from the entrance.

I have seen some unbelievable makeovers where a guy looks completely different at the end.
Amazing what a difference a great haircut and waxing/shaving can do to transform someone's look!
The people who do those makeovers are freaking geniuses!
If that's the kind of barber shop it's going to be.... then yes, it will be a success.
That caliber of talent will give guys an excuse to fly in to Vegas for a weekend to get a shave and a cut.
It's totally the type of clientele the Cosmo would want!
(Successful, image-driven and willing to part with their money easily.)

Shame it wasn't there this summer!

Would have shaved me having to go off strip.

Agreed. Love to get a straight razor shave in Vegas. It’s a treat because in Pensacola, maybe the entire state of Florida, health regulations prohibit straight razor shaves. It’ll be interesting to see how it works out and where they are price wise vs. The Art of Shaving. Still, hate to see Bond go...

Prime VP playing, solid comp drinking, talent watching real estate at night. I saw some hilarious shit walking through those doors into Cosmo at Bond. It may have been trashy but not the sort of trashy that try’s to follow you to your room at NY NY or Flamingo. Bond was always a good time at night.,I don’t think I have done more than given Clique a walk through. No vibe there. Just a bummer!

Once I heard Bond was going out, I was curious what fun, sexy, chic thing might be coming in!

I can sum up my reaction to this update in ONE word...."anticlimactic".
