Have a fun trip!! Love the pics of each casino as you got closer and closer to Vegas. Wow, Fremont St. looked dead, must have been right before dawn.

Good "Morning" all. Slept until two thirty and feel surprisingly refreshed.
We topped off last night by getting some food at the Freedom Beat diner downstairs and bringing it back to the room. I forgot to take pictures because holy crap, we were starving at that point and just obliterated it. It was super yummy though. Deviled Jalapeno eggs, Grilled Mac N Cheese Sandwich and a Philly Cheesesteak. It was amazing drunk food (amazing in general when you have been on a keto diet for the better part of a year) and we passed out shortly thereafter.
The plan for today is to head down and do a walk through El Cortez. Hit up Container Park to see if anything is new since we were there a couple of years ago. Get our annual picture taken at Binions with the money and generally play some gamble. Oh and get a coffee mug! We brought our own little coffee maker, but I forgot my travel mug and there are only cheap plastic water cups in the room.
Oh and the TV in the room doesn't work. Well, it does, but there is no signal hooked up to it.
Okay, time to go shower and explore!

Thanks! Yeah, 50% sounds right. We make a plan to keep some sort of structure, but there is always a lot more sleeping than we anticipate. :D

I know, it's so funny to me that a lot of these firsts for us should have been done years ago, but we used to be much more hard core drinkers back in the day so it was more about drinking and casino hopping downtown.

I'm super looking forward to it! We don't do buffets that often, so they are a real treat when we do.

Thanks! Where are you staying? We are about to go play downtown in a few minutes. And yeah, Fremont at 5 AM is a lot different. :D

Normally doesn't happen Tring, not sure how we pulled it off yesterday/today other than sheer will. And caffeine. And Alcohol.

Yup, it was. Around four or five AM depending on the pic. I'm guessing it is going to look considerably different when we venture down in a few minutes. :-D

It's a bit cold. I'm not a big fan of hats, but last night my ears were freeeeeeezing!
We are tucked up in the room right now and packing for our hotel change so tomorrow will be sans hats unless we venture out after dark.

So we never made it to Container Park or El Cortez last night. We did get me a coffee mug and our pictures at Binions but that was about it. It was really crowded on Fremont St which I get, it was Saturday night after all. I just don't do crowds on a good day so I sort of lost patience after a while and bailed on going to the other end.
We got some BBQ from a food truck set up on Fremont that was really good and retired to the room.
This morning we got up and packed and while I was showering, Rob took the first load of luggage down to the car. What he discovered was that the parking garage elevator was not working. He called the hotel and they said they would send someone but after he texted me that he might have to carry the luggage up four flights of steps(did I mention he had a heart attack a year ago??) the elevator started working and he was able to get up to the car. What he discovered was that once it got to fourth "floor" the elevator door stayed open and wouldn't close. So he was able to get the stuff up to the car but he had to take the stairs back down. He went to the front desk and told them what was happening and we waited another hour in the room so that it would hopefully be fixed before we brought the last round down.
It was still broken. Rob called again and was transferred all over the place but there was no resolution. I understand that they may be able to fix the elevator that fast, but I was hoping they would at least offer some sort of assistance towards a resolution...or a discount on my bill.
It was a minor inconvenience but it was annoying. That and the fact that the TV didn't work in the room and the casino itself is very generic, we will not be staying there again.
Once we were out of there we hit up a dispensery and a grocery store for provisions and headed over to the Bellagio. I had already received a notification that my room was ready so we parked and used their mobile check in area. Super fast and easy and we were up in our room in a matter of minutes.
Our only solid plans for this evening are to head over to Bally's to get our celebration dinner voucher and see if we can get show tickets for Wayne Newton for Wednesday night.
We will of course check out the conservatory (which I saw is all done up in Christmas fashion when we passed it on the way to the room) and the fountain shows, but we will probably stick close to the hotel tonight.
We were going to do Afternoon Tea tomorrow but I procrastinated the reservations and they were booked, so we will do that on Friday instead. We won't be staying here at the hotel at that time but we will only be across the street at CP.
Current situation is chilling in the room and seeing about uploading my room tour videos to youtube. We will relax for another couple of hours and then head over to Bally's.
    Pictures from today to follow.
