You certainly got special treatment by playing the "Anniversary Card" with aplomb. Well played!

Hope the gambling turns in your favor.

Sorry for going radio silent the last 24 hours. After checking in at Paris we chilled in the room for awhile. We had plans to do some fun stuff. I was not feeling well. Took a brief nap and woke up with flu like symptoms. I spent the rest of the day in bed. Woke up this morning and went to a walk in med clinic. Got a script for some meds. Came back to the room and slept a good part of the day. It is early evening now and I am feeling better. Gonna get out of the room for a while this evening. Tomorrow morning we check out and head over to Bellagio.

    Later, GVJ

DrLect - Yeah, I played it often and well. I’m hoping to find a lucky Video Porker machine tonight.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. We went to Valley of Fire on our last trip as well, so beautiful! Hope you get over the flu and the VP slump while you're at it!

Feeling much better this evening. My wife and I played VP of several varieties earlier. We played some here at Paris. Later we played at Cosmopolitan after eating at Secret Pizza. She has been wining a little and is now almost even for the trip. Not me. The Video Poker debauchery continues. I’ve played hundreds if not thousands of hands without hitting a single 4 OAK.

Pics of Secret Pizza and a wire sculpture at Cosmo.

Gambling: down $900 for the trip.

Glad to hear you're feeling better but it's time to snap the gambling cold streak. Maybe some table games?

Up early this Tuesday. The Spa at Paris is under going a major renovation. So I went over to Bally’s spa. Really small, dated spa. Had a soak and sauna. Showered and shaved. Relaxing way to begin the day. The beautiful one and I are now having breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi. Life is good. I am feeling much better. Thank the Lord.

Mon Ami Gabi never disappoints. She had a mushroom and brie with chives omelette. I had a spicy andouille sausage Eggs Benedict. My oh my. It was all way good.

After checking out Paris we’ll see if we can check in early at Bellagio or at least drop the bags there. Then we plan on heading out to Red Rock Casino.
    Check in later.

After we spoiled ourselves at MAG we checked in at Bellagio. Room wasn’t ready. We left the bags. Took care of some business at MLife desk. Showed my Veterans ID card. They upgraded me to Pear status. I won’t have to pay for self parking MLife properties Yeah.

We traveled out to Red Rock Casino. Did some gambling. And guess what, I continue to lose, lose, lose.

While we are hanging at RR we get a text from some friends that they are in Vegas to see Cher on Wednesday night. They were out at Red Rocks Canyon. So we met up for lunch. The Grand Cafe did us right.

Following lunch we made our way back to the strip. We’d been notified the room was ready during lunch.

I told my wife I was through with gambling forever. She doesn’t believe me. Well, I am done with gambling at least until after dinner after at Sake Rok.

Pics of are Bellagio room. It is way nice. I liked the La Mans suite at Paris a bit more. The Tub has jets so I’m happy.

After a brief rest in the room we headed down to The Park. Found Sake Rok. I purchased a TravelZoo voucher for $79. The deal — a dinner for 2. We could pick 2 starters, 2 small plates and 2 entrees. A value of $136. We enjoyed some (starter) spicy edamame, a lemony cucumber dish, (small plate), sushi roll, pork belly, (entrees) pan seared scallops, hangar steak. It was all well prepared and tasty. Good. The environment was way loud. If you are in the mood for dinner in the midst of a stage production you’ll like this joint.

Following dinner we gambled at Cosmopolitan. For the first time this trip I won. Put $100 in a silly slot machine. Lucky Dragon I think. After playing for about 45 minutes I cashed out with $116.50. Whoopee. We were very tired headed back to Bellagio. Grabbed a gelato at the place with the chocolate fountain. In the room by 10:40pm.

On our way to breakfast at The Henry now.

Later Were headed back to Red Rock Casino. Have a ticket for $87 I didn’t redeem yesterday. We are gonna play some and catch a film at the cinema there.

    Pics from last evening.

Breakfast at The Henry was awesome. We shared Short Rib Eggs Benedict and Brioche French Toast with Berries and maple syrup. Awesome. Expensive breakfast. About $40 before tax and tip.

After The Henry we headed south to see the Seven Magic Mountains. It is a cool art installation.

Then we went out to Red Rock to redeem a ticket. We played some Video Poker, Megabucks and some other silly slot. My wife’s luck has turned. She was up a couple of Benjamin’s. Between last evening and today she down several Benjamins. I had the big $16 win last night. Proceeded to win some more today. Playing .50 cents I hit a quad - the first 4OAK trip. A few minutes later playing $’s I hit another quad. Sweet.

Pics of breakfast, flower display under Chiluly glass in Bellagio lobby, the art installation.

I realized looking at these pics I was playing dollars on both the quads.

Gambling - down $984 for the trip. Ouch.

At least you got a couple of quads out of RR on the return. That's a bit of a drive for forgetting to cash out a voucher! I remember pulling off the forgotten voucher move at SLS a few years back. Fortunately we won on that return visit too.
