The ones with the "red hi lites" looks like some one was killed in the room... or is it just me?

After a little Googling, it looks like Bellagio started it's last renovation in 2011 and it ended in 2015. I thought I read somewhere that rooms are usually refreshed every 8 years or so.

I feel like Aria, Vdara, and the Signature could use a refresh.

The furnishings don't match pics for any room type currently on Bellagio's website.

I looked at the source code on the designer's website but it doesn't give any clues as to how recent (or old) those "remodel" pics are.

That looks like a proposed redesign, not something that is currently available.

Seems like the Bellagio rooms were just redone! Time flies.

In the MGM-verse, NYNY would seem to be the next logical spot for a total room redo, they are getting pretty aged. Still fine, but think at some point they're going to start losing bookings due to the general oldness. Just hope they use a different designer than the one from the Park MGM redo.

Agree with you. IMO it just doesn’t say Bellagio.
No to the carpeting, no to the plastic laminate looking desk and furniture shells.
Hope this is not a peek into future remodel at the B.

I bit my tongue and my neutral in my reply, but you nailed my thoughts Geo. I didn't mind the wall, but the rest seemed a little 80's to me ..and 80's had a lot of synthetics going on, which isn't my thing.

Bellagio...could be so beautiful (regarding room décor) because IMO the rest of the hotel and casino is very cool. My second favorite hotel/casino in Vegas.

Yea, it seems like it was just a few years ago they remodeled the main hotel.. as said.. time flies.

As I recall - there was not alot of love for that remodel either.

When was the last time NYNY rooms were remodelled? They did the casino floor in 2008/2009 or 2009/2010. I stayed at NYNY in 2009 and I can't remember if the rooms felt new or not. That's 10 years now though.

When I stayed at Bellagio in 2012 they had just redone the rooms maybe a year before or so. So, those rooms are getting long in the tooth too, especially for a higher end resort that sees high occupancy - wear and tear will come quickly.

NYNY hasn't had room remodels for awhile.

Did you check the EXIF data on the images?

Per what I see, it says they were taken on May 4th, 2018 using Adobe Photoshop CS6...we would've known about this by now if it were true. Also, there's a strict confidentiality when publishing case studies like this. Hmmmm...

If those are images of what they're thinking of doing, I will say that I like them better than the current décor. That sterile look MGM went with at B and to some degree The Mirage sucks. Vegas for that last 30 years has been an ongoing treadmill of Steve Wynn making cool properties and then somebody else fucking them up. :poke:

Does that mean Vegas will go to shit now that he's not making any more properties...I mean, they already abandoned some of his ideas.

IMO yes, but it will take a while. Steve Wynn is a visionary who uniquely understands what draws people in and what they want when they vacation in a place like Las Vegas. He's the king of customer service. The rest of these guys are bean counters.

I opened another thread on the BMW forums seeing if anyone liked Vegas, a lot of them vehemently said no. I think for many, they see Vegas as a place for degenerates. I say this because I think a lot of executives (specifically at CET and MGM) see Vegas in the same light. They see it for what it is, not what it could be. Wynn saw it for what it could be and won. LVS killed it with the conventions, but the property does have really good service. It's also priced competitively and is the nicest place on the strip for the price (as Wynn is almost always more expensive).
