CET platinum, looking to branch to Cosmo or Mlife

I have currently been platinum with CET for two years and I love the offers but I’ve always been interested in branching off to mlife or Cosmo. I’m primarily a craps and roulette player (roulette usually $50-$75 a spin, craps. $10-$15 tables 3 point molly system for the most part placing more numbers when I’ve been drinking.. so most of the time haha). The past two years I’ve had between 7k-9k tier credits. I’m pretty sure the majority of my points come from roulette. I don’t see myself hitting diamond with CET so I’m looking to (if it’s worth it) move my play after I hit platinum to either mlife or Cosmo (I’ve already hit platinum for 2019). I was never a big Cosmo fan until joining this board. Ive never stayed there but the picture you guys post are amazing. But I would also like to try out some mlife casinos. The room has never really mattered to me since well you know (gambleholic) but my gf likes to stay at nicer places with nicer pools. I do want to stay at the skyline terrace suite at Mgm for my bday in July. But I’m willing to pay for a night or two there. I’m honestly not a big fan of the south strip so that was one of my concerns about basing my play at Mgm.

Just looking for input on what you guys think about where the better comps would be based on my play.

Side note: Gf and I will be at the Cromwell in December for her bday

 

A couple questions:

What type of comps do you get now?

How many trips per year does it take you to get the 7-9k tier credits?

 

It's mainly free rooms. CP usually isn't a problem to get. Cromwell i usually just get free during the week. Free rooms at lower properties. It takes about 4 trips to get the 7-9k. This year it took me 3 trips and I'm at 7k already. Just figured why pour more money into CET if it's not bumping up my comps significantly.

Also, more recently is when I've been playing roulette at that bet per spin so that's why I'm almost certain it's roulette that's bumping up my ADT/tier credits. I used to go 5-6 times a year and primarily play $10 craps and never reached platinum.

 

Yeah - you can play $10 craps, betting all the numbers and taking odds and you won’t get much.

My guess is that you should be happy to get free rooms, especially at CP.

Mlife rewards table game players better than CET so perhaps someone can provide info.

 

I always split my stay between the Cosmo and Caesars. The Cosmo doesn't reward table players that well, they prefer slot players. 7 - 9 thousand TCs is pretty low for 4 trips. Moving your play to The Cosmopolitan isn't going to benefit you. IMHO, stick with CET and be happy with the offers they're giving you.

 

I love Cosmo, but they no longer give Identity points for craps play. They just look at your play to determine room comps.

Not sure if other table games are the same.

 

My only comment would be that if the majority of your play is going to be roulette, then you should be looking into the places where you can play the single zero game and cut the house edge ... and hopefully making your $$$$ last longer.

Lately with roulette I’ll play at Cromwell because they have a $25 single zero wheel. I think Caesars has one for $50. I believe these are the only two CET properties that have single zero roulette

 

Keep your play at CET properties.. MLIFE will indeed give you lower end properties comps for sure at that level of play at certain times (like winter months at Excalibur for example) but do not expect much. Cosmo will not give u anything for that level of play..
CET is the most liberal when it comes to rooms comps
Also, if your looking to expand your experience seed the Golden Nugget, they are pretty liberal when it comes to room comps as well for table play..
Another good property that loves to give away rooms (but not as much as CET) is Boyd properties so be sure to check them out too.

 

If you really are interested in branching out to Mlife then you might want to check out Mirage & MGM as places where you might be able to find $25 roulette at certain times/days

 

I find that with Mlife, if you start at low properties, you'll get more promotion. Once you're in it for a few months, you'll see more free rooms from Aria and Bellagio. My current play is similar to yours except I do more slots.

That being said, I'm ready to just play at one property and invest in their rewards. Currently gold at mlife and Platinum at CET. Good thing with mlife is that if you have their credit card, your spending helps increase your tier credits, unlike CET creditcard .

 

My question for the OP is, how much of your 7-9k TC's are from actual playing vs bonuses and promo's?

My comps sound similar to the the OP for CET, but by taking advantage of promos (Quest and TC' multipliers, daily bonuses) I have almost 17K TC's and hitting base diamond. Of which maybe 5-6K were from actual play. I mostly play craps but will crank up my VP play if I'm trying to hit a daily bonus.

Most of my trips (4 per year) are about 7-8 days, so I stay 4-5 days at CET and 3-4 at Mlife. My play at CET is higher than Mlife but for the next trip will be the opposite as I don't expect to get to 25K TC's for CET. I've been Mlife Gold for the last 2 years (85K in 2017 and 156K in 2018) with about 50/50 between spend and gaming. I'm getting 4 nights comped (still pay resort fees) at every property with a little more RC's at the lower ones.

I tried to seed Cosmo a little but since they don't give Identity points to table game players, I wasn't willing to give them too much play just to see what I might get. Also I like to try out different hotels and casinos. In the last 3 years, I've stayed at every Mlife hotel except 2, every CET hotel except 1, and about 1/2 the downtown hotels. I know spreading it around that much may lose me a little bit for what I might get from one property but I like having about 20 hotels that I can get a comped room at.

PS that Skyline Terrace suite is also on my bucket list, but be prepared that if you book it, you may get bumped for a High Roller before you get in. (although July should be pretty safe on a weekday).

 

That’s a problem also. I always miss the promotions. I was able to go in February (I believe) to Horseshoe in bossier city when they did the double tier credits but since I only went for a day I only got 1000ish bonus. Other than that I’ve never hit 1000 tier credits in a day. I’m always just short. I should go play some vp afterwards to get it to at least 1000 when I’m close.

Also I just realized I’ve only been to Vegas twice this year plus that one trip to horseshoe bossier city. The bonus help a lot I’ve seen but I just never get to get out there during those times.

 

I think I'd have to agree your best option is to stick with CET overall, you seem to be OK with your offers and I don't think you'll get as good or better ones from MLife or Cosmo.

If you are at least already an MLife member, you can probably get a decent discount on the Skyline Terrace in July, depending on the dates (3rd week in July is shaping up expensive everywhere). If you do stay there, I'd just do your normal play level there (because you won't really get much benefit from playing at CET in that situation, a few RCs and TCs but not enough to reach Diamond) and see what happens with offers from MLife. You might get at least a 2 night offer as a teaser.
