11/1-4 Mini Post Trip Report VP Pic Heavy

I can't do live trip reports so I figured I'd at least drum up a little mini trip report with some pics. Stayed 3 nights at Main Street and played countless hours of VP. Had a heck of a run and came home a winner.

Hotel: Buddy came with me as we called it a bachelor party (I get married to the love of my life and favorite video poker companion this weekend) so we stayed in a 2 queen room at MSS. Somehow didn't get one of the rooms with the new showers. Being 6'5" and showering at MSS in an old room is rather bothersome. However it seemed to be the cleanest room I've ever had there. Staff even seemed more polite than usual.

BConnected: The point system is an entire enigma. Points would tick up like normal then plateau. Played thousands and thousands of hands of Jacks/BP/DB and managed a whopping $10 in comps. Managed the same amount of comps at 4qs in a couple hours, max. However, room offers for Jan/Feb have me at the usual 3 free nights with $20 food and I got 4 buffet comps throughout the trip for merely asking. Point system sucks but comps/mailers seem to be unchanged? Perhaps?

Food: I was a complete degenerate and only ate the free buffets with a couple lapperts doughnuts on occasion. Nothin to see here.

Gambling: Went very well. As it should when you hit 2 royals in less than 24 hours. Both at Boars Head. Blackjack was awful, not a single winning session. Lots of quads, straight flushes and winning VP sessions. Mostly at mss but I spread the love downtown.

Side note: noticed lots of machines at the Cal and ElCo with downgraded paytables. Was only at ElCo one day but did not find a single bartop with 8/5 bonus. Anyone else able to confirm this?

There have been a couple of reports on this board (and other boards I follow). I'll be there on Friday to confirm for myself, but it seems true. Sad, but true.

Fiancee said the same when I sent her live pics lol I was far too deep in the Double Downs (with a slice of orange) to notice.

 

Nice hits, esp on the one held to the royal! I looked at my Boyd offers (which are the same as always) for January....just hate to put in a ton of play at Ruby level and not know what is happening next!

 

I was grandfathered in as Sapphire, should that ever expire I'd be done with em as well.
