This is a fabulous idea ladies! I actually DO love this idea, it's got all the fun of the slot pulls, but let's people bond over one of Vegas' GREATEST assets....food! (Edited content. Was ribbing one of my favorite VMBers but wanted to make sure I didn't not him )
Holy f**k!!!! You brought all that home????? I'm going down to LV next week and I don't think I can beat that unless I ship everything else home. After Old Homestead, I was thinking of going down to Andiamo's to see if I can get a "take out". Good job, Multifarious5!!!!
Oh my gosh @DaiLun, I JUST edited my post, as I thought/worried, what if I annoyed you versus made you smile? No, I didn't bring that home...online photo... ...but I would if I could
The only food I brought home was the gift basket (chocalate, chips. cashew etc) from my host when I stayed at a suite in Paris.
Love this idea! I'll be at Golden Nugget Jan 10-14 if anyone wants to meet up for dinner downtown, send me a pm! Love meeting other Vegas lovers and hitting some slots or tables. Cheers!
I am at the Wynn this week and I'm pretty certain I will go to Mizumi for some teppanyaki Wednesday night if anyone wants to join
Awesome Idea! Dining alone typically doesn't bother me but think it would be pretty cool to grab a bite and meet someone new!
awesome idea I'm often there solo and "forget" to eat. Set plans would force me to remember. Funny thing is I never "forget" to drink
Feel kind of weird but giving this a shot! Don't have any plans for Nov. 30 so seeing if anyone would like to meet up for a brunch or lunch that day? Always looking to meet people and share my story!
I'm going to miss you by 6 days, but you might make a new thread in the Get Togethers section, to get the eyes of people who are looking for something to do on the 30th.
What a great idea... I am actually in Vegas for Thanksgiving solo staying through Sunday night for the redeye back to Houston.
I thought I'd throw this on this thread for Cosmo solo-ers. Thanks to @Chuck2009x and @Marilynfan , and our Beloved Kevin Sweet @Cosmopolitan_SlotVP ....if you have a tier-based Wicked Spoon BOGO, for now, they have been letting you do half-price instead if only one person, IF you ask the Identity desk..not advertised. (You have to go to the Identity desk to get your voucher before hitting Wicked Spoon.) May not work on holiday weekends, but for other dates, that is a very generous perk Kevin is letting us use. (Caveat, since this is a side-door offer, if the person at the desk doesn't allow it, don't get mad, they may not know. But it's worth the gamble in asking.) Thank you Kevin....one of MANY reasons why Cosmo is absolutely stellar ...you bust yourself to take care of us, and we really appreciate it!!! But you have ruined all other hotels for me now...I'm spoiled!
Hi, I might be interested in this, but I arrive late Saturday night and may be a bit jet-lagged Sunday morning. Please let me know if you plan anything. I see from the trips forum that you may be at Harrah's or The Linq. I'm at The Linq from Dec. 1-7 traveling solo for the Cromwell BJ tournament, plus I like to play some table games a couple of times a year. I always stay at The Imperial Palace/The Quad/The Linq, because I've known a lot of the staff for a long time and I like the people there. Hope to hear from you, Ben
Hey I am arriving in Vegas on the 2nd. I'm staying at the Linq. Is that black jack tournament by invitation only? I'm going solo as well to bet on games and play a little black jack. I like craps as well but haven't played in a while. If you want some company let me know.
I'm not sure if it's invitation, I received an e-mail with an offer, and the reservations person told me you had to sign up for it with the offer. I've heard, though, that in previous years, you could walk up to registration and sign up. It probably depends on how many people they end up with. You might want to ask reservations. I arrive Saturday night, see you at the craps tables.
Yes, the blackjack tournament is by invitation. However, sometimes they will open it up to anyone who asks if they need/want more people to be involved. I was checking in for a Harrah's tournament a couple of years ago, and the guy in line behind me said that when he was checking into the hotel, the check-in clerk asked if he would be interested in playing in the tournament. So, it never hurts to ask! You can start by asking when you check-in at the Linq, and if that doesn't work, take a walk over to the Cromwell and ask there. I am playing in the tournament, but I don't arrive until late Monday night.
