    My Trip Report

Got decent Southwest tickets, nonstop on the way down. TSA line was crazy long at 6 am but I left in plenty of time, no worries. Wondered if it was an omen when my whole line got picked for the “pat-down” line. After being groped and palms dusted for chemicals, I was on my way. Early bird got me row 4 on the aisle, definitely a win. Taxi didn’t long haul me, 17$ to Bally’s. Check in was a breeze. Resort king, room 1253. Clean, quiet and a fridge.

First order of the day, sports book to bet on my WSU Cougars to beat Stanford, and play the horses at Keeneland.,Not sure why mu phone uploaded all those pics-sorry about the size, Its my first time uploading. Went to Cosmo after to play the slots and have s couple Mimosas before having late lunch-early dinner at China Poblano. Had the Queso fundido and a taco, washed it down with a Modelo. It was really good. Did a lot of walking and exploring-weather was awesome-low 80s every day, lots different than rainy Washington. Stopped at the CVS for Gatorade for the room, played a bit of video poker, went to bed.

Thursday morning had reservation at Mon Ami and had asked for a patio table. They don't reserve patio but I was lucky enough to score one. Fruit cup, quiche and great coffee was perfect. Back to the sports book for the horses, then changed and dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak. OMG that was good, and the service impeccable. Had rib cap medium rare, pureed potatoes and sparkling water. I love the breads they bring out. Wish I had asked for them to box the ones I couldnt eat to save for a midnight snack. Back to Cosmo for more gambling, strolled down to Bellagio fountains to watch Uptown Funk, them back to Ballys for a little video poker before bed.
Friday decided to play the horses at the Paris sports book-much smaller but nicer I think, bathroom and bar are a few steps away. Had lunch at Giordano's-the pizza was pretty decent but its a long wait for it.

That pretty much sums up my short but sweet trip. I have to say, its nice to be solo to decide when and where you want to eat, sleep and gamble. I made money on the horses in the early day and siphoned it into the machines at night. At least I won my football bet, but had to mail it back to Caesars entertainment to get it paid out.

The trip home was fine but yuck-the Southwest part of the Vegas airport is dirty, including the bathrooms. Got in just before midnight. Left 84 degree, got home to 55 degrees. Can I please go back now?

PS-- The Wendy's in LAS Southwest terminal is best I've ever had, always grab a burger there.

Sounds like a great trip!! As much as I love my family trips, I do really love my solo trips and being able to do what I want, when I want. Enjoyed all the pics too! Thanks for sharing.

Not the OP but I consider the book at Paris to be very relaxing. Quieter as it’s tucked away from the casino in a corner and as mentioned the bar is adjacent and restrooms are right there. If you want a loud noisy party book it wouldn’t be for you. In contrast Caesars is huge either the entire casino surrounding it. Loud & noisy.

Great first solo trip. Something peaceful in the middle of such an otherwise goofy place when you're there by yourself. It's like you're on your personal High Roller at ground level! Man, that was deep wasn't it!

Not at all crowded. Wed thurs and Friday were the days I was there, can’t speak for the weekends. Both places could do with a few more tellers though

Not better than others in all ways, just a more peaceful and nicer environment while not being big, plenty of space.

Omg I’m right there with you. Not a fan of Belmont in the late fall, and hate winters at Aqueduct.

That is the problem i had with Paris sports book. More tellers would move the lines faster. Bally's seemed to have a few more tellers but it is a bigger book. Also the diamond / 7 stars line gives you more tellers at Bally's that may be good or bad

They seemed to not pay a lot of attention to the diamond line at Bally’s although it wasn’t busy there, only about 8 of us playing the horses. It didn’t bother me but a couple of old guys got pretty perturbed

I think it's been renamed officially to Resort Tower...*snooze* I liked that it was named Indigo.

    Nice report @Horseplayer1!
