My sons and I are going the 2nd weekend in December. Last time I went to a sports book during football season four years ago we went the MGM, got there at 9 am and got one of the last seats left in the sports book area, which was the last row and had to pay for our drinks. But I did have insanely good luck on my bets there that day.....

Any updates on best place for NFL football this year? I thought I read some casinos take reservations for a fee, which i have no problem with.

I pay now too as can’t get up first thing as usually have a late nite Saturday.
Try to do a book (Mirage, Harrahs) then a bar (Lagassee or Blondies) over a weekend.

All books have reserve seating if you want to pay (not sure on prices)
some books will have a "food and beverage" minimum instead of a rental fee. these are usually good if you have a decent size group that eats and drinks a lot
As for where to watch, any sports book on the strip will be good, all depends what you are looking for

Check out Football Central at the Westgate. It's free and doors open at 9:00 and even if you get there after that, you'll get a pretty good seat.

Westgate is the best. Was there last week with a group of six. Plenty of room. Nathan's hot dogs (were only $2 if I remember correctly). Every game on TV and free drawings. Betting window right outside the theater. What's not to love????

I have booked seats at both the mirage and Cesar’s. Both were great. You have a seat for the whole day and unlimited drinks.

Westgate by far has the best book in town.
