Super Bowl Roll Call - February 1, 2019 - February 5, 2019

I've been going to LV for SB weekend for the last 15 years. Great time had by all.
Thursday - Monday. Golf every Friday. Show, good food and friendship. Average about 5 - 8 in our group.
Watch SB in friends suite or a casino VIP party. My favorite time of year.
Rooms are reserved and plane tickets (Free SW) are purchased.
I'm a Philly homer, so last years SB was the best.
Who else is going?

I have gone each of the past five years, but I might stay home this time. Its always a great weekend, but I am already going twice in January. Besides, I might just drive over to Tunica to see what they do for the game now that they have sports books

 

How about if we get Bell from Pittsburg? Last year we got Ajayi (sp) from Miami

 

We will be there Saturday-Tuesday. Usually about 20 total in our group but we have at least four first timers for Super Bowl going along this time. May need three tables (usually get two) at the South Point watch party.

 

@Tahoejoe2 You do not need Bell ,Ajayi is good , there are teams that have improved to go to SB , Rams , Saints those 2 teams are in my opinion better this year.

John, what is the secret to getting a table at South Point? We played the 9 or 10am Poker tournament at South Point. We sent a guy to save a table and he said they were all full. So we jumped in the car and went to our friends suite at harrahs.
What is the secret.

No secret if you go to the Events Center or Exhibit Hall (I forget which) they have about 150 tables there and so long as you get there maybe 1.5 hours before kickoff there are tables open

 

Should add since we want 2 tables together around 9 A.M. just to be sure, but if you need one table no need for that

 

The last two years we played the 10 AM poker tournament at South Point then watched the Super Bowl from the second level exhibit hall. In 2017 it was just my son and I and the only trouble we had in finding a table were that so many tables had coats and belongings but no people... we had no way of knowing if the entire table was reserved or if there were two seats available. Ultimately, we did find two spots. In 2018, I had two buddies with me, and one busted out of the tournament really, really early, and he had no problem finding a table at 10:30 AM with three spots.

I think the best viewing, though, might be in the showroom (cushy booths!) but you'd probably need to be in line when the doors open to reserve one of those.

Interesting. Played the same 10am tournament last year. Getting close to SB time so 5 of us chopped the tournament. Still made some money.

 

The only thing I don’t like about watching the Super Bowl in the conference room is the signal is so bad I have a hard time checking stats for my bets. We watched the game last year at Suncoast casino showroom and was fine.

 

It's a bit early, but just seeing if anyone will be in Vegas for the Super Bowl this year. I'll be at Planet Hollywood, great sportsbook! If this gains any traction, I'm happy to set-up a meet-up.

Arriving just before midnight Saturday and leaving before breakfast on Tuesday. Staying at the Linq, likely watching the game at South Point.
